Ryan Day says Ohio State needs $13M to keep his roster intact.

Schools are afraid they will lose players to the portal. The players receive big-money entitlements to transfer.

It's interesting that there are seldom any real numbers about what players are being paid other than the occasional press report such as a Texas QB getting $1 million plus. Under current rules, I'm not sure how some company can say that the player is bringing hundreds of thousands of dollars to their bottom line. So much is secretive. I guess that will all go away when courts rule the players are employees and we can see what Ohio State pays for a running back compared to Florida. Just like a menu at a restaurant.
