The Dukes head into game three of the four game home stand against a tough Marshall team who is 7-0 in conference and in first place. Marshall is 13-5 overall and has been lighting up the scoreboard in SBC play so far. Will be a tough game for the Dukes who will need great defense to keep Marshalls shooters in check.
Hope to see a nice crowd for this important conference game tomorrow.

Will be there. Look out for Marshall's horrible Hays sisters, who finally found their place at a non-P5 school. After their big sis Anastasia was thrown off the Tennessee team for behavioral issues. they followed her to MTSU and then to Mississippi State. Now that she's graduated, here they are at Marshall where their behavior (and stage daddy's) probably isn't an issue. They are good players at this level but not as good as daddy thinks his little darlings are. Possible T's in this game.

Disappointing loss. Should never have 24 turnovers, especially on our home court.
Peyton obviously hurting in the few minutes on the floor. I think the hard fall she took in the game before last really hurt her. It looks like her back. That is going to require some serious therapy and time in the training room. And what happened to Mikaya? I didn't see it clearly, couldn't tell if it was maybe a broken nose or a possible concussion or what. She was obviously in pain and went to the locker room at the close of that quarter, came out at the start of the fourth but didn't play any further minutes. Such a shame when she's been playing so well. None of our bigs played much after that. Two of them aren't fast enough anyway. Mikaya is.
I thought our second string acquitted themselves very well. They didn't ever quit, even when down by 11. It was nice to see Amira getting some serious minutes. I've always liked her and wondered when she was going to play. And the rest of them just kept going, even though it didn't look too hopeful. Gotta hand it to them. As for the person saying Ashanti shouldn't take 3-pointers, wjy not? She makes enough of them. Hevynne, maybe not, but Ashanti, yeah.
And I will second all of you on those refs. They STUNK big time! First of all, what took them so long when Mikaya went down? Second of all, Marshall plays dirty. Very dirty. Dirtier than ODU, even, and they acted like they never saw anything. Who were these people, and where did they get them? I never saw any of them before and I hope I never see them again!!! Apparently Coach thought so too.

I posted that after the second consecutive heinous attempt. It looked rushed. The actual shot itself was ugly.
Her season 3-point percentage is 40%, but I think conference games is more insightful statistically. She’s 28% from 3 during SBC games. As far as my post, I just didn’t think those shots were good choices at the time. Stats say she shouldn’t eliminate threes from her game. That’s probably correct.
