I just hope they don’t try to shut us down again now because he is retiring.

For perpetuity:

Watson Brown 1-0 vs Nick Saban

Now let's get some of their transfers...

Harbaugh to Alabama!
I'd imagine the ER's will be full w/ some fans that think it's end of the world
Or their wives, who "fell down the stairs".

Somewhere, Watson Brown is sipping a tall drink and smiling to himself.
oh, come on...such a delusional fan base...they'll be convinced that the success is all institution related and they'll just keep on rolling. It'll take a little bit before they start kicking dogs and punching women
It's going to be a good case study for how prevalent transfers are going to be amongst a population of players with existing NiL contracts.

You better think long and hard before you take the bammer job. It's the ultimate case of being "the guy who follows the guy".

What Ray Perkins went through wasn't pretty, and this will be worse. That was before social media.
I guess it really was too much to expect for there not to be a Saban thread here today. There was a time where this website was about UAB

Consider it pouring one out for BAMANBLAZER. RIP, Carl.

IMO it is UAB related. They could hire the wrong coach and be anywhere from 4-8 to 8-4 over the next 3 years and that will change their recruitment.
I'm not saying we will get the 5 stars they get, but we could convince some of those 3-4 stars that would be 2nd strings to come to UAB instead.

With Troy's HC going to Tulane and Hugh Freeze success at Auburn still being up in the air, the college football dynamic in the state can change dramatically.
LSU won the natty with Les Miles after Nick left. Unless there is a mass exodus of players Bama will still be Bama for awhile.
I think Saban retiring forces them to take more instate guys than they normally would. They’ll also lose their strangle hold on Louisiana talent.

If you can’t convince a guy like Cole gamble to not walkon in Tuscaloosa instead of playing on scholarship for you, talking to that tier of instate recruit is a lost cause
I'll be sure to get the Bama gameday thread started each week if no one else is volunteering
