NCAA not letting him play. Not sure why. He went juco then sat out a year. then to LIU. then to Toledo. High grades. There's other guys who have transferred from D1 after going juco and they are considered 1st time transfers, so not sure. Must have to do with him playing at a 4 yr Canadian college back in 2019-20 before he went juco. NCAA rulings on who can play are a mess. AKron's situation w Ali Ali is a great example. His case hit all the boxes in the waiver checklist yet he was not approved to play. Other guys with no clear case for a waiver are playing. Guys like Maletic who are good students, have already missed a season and not chasing NIL $ should be playing. As a comparison UT portal recruit Chad Baker-Mazera is playing for Auburn as an undergrad, and he's gone to 3 D1 schools and a Juco in 4 years.
