He’s 1 of 10 candidates for the job & 1 of 3 without a Louisiana connection. Would be especially interesting if he got the job, since we travel to Monroe next year. If you’ve never got a chance to meet him, he truly is a great guy. I told him last year I’d root for his team anywhere he goes, as long as he’s not in Tuscaloosa.

the offensive coordinator at Tulane will get it ,,,,
Hope he gets a better gig than Monroe. We also should drop that game and U-Conn and try and schedule a crappy P5 HH. But we won't because MI does not believe we will put butts in the seats.
Well in defense of MI, I don't necessarily blame him there if you paint with a broad brush. But you can do it in a smart way if you choose the right team. Our last P5 home game as I recall was Miss St under Callaway--that was well attended. I've got two UConn grads that work with me--probably going to bring them down next year. 03-lol
Considering we couldn’t beat the worst of teams on our schedule this season, I guess we have to be ok with more easier opponents on future schedules for the time being.

The floor of our goals should be bowl eligibility
MTSU finally fired Stockstill after 18 years. I think that’d be a better opportunity for Vincent.
No P5 team is going to say yes to a HH

Per Mark Ingram, there are some that would, but they wouldn’t be upper tier P5 teams. We were more focused on getting winnable games when we started the program back.

I think he could do better at MTSU in a weak CUSA than a stronger Sunbelt West with almost no money/facilities.

If that’s true he’s pathetic at his job.

That's news to me 04-jawdrop
I nominate Gilstrap.

Former MTSU player and coach. They can have him.

I can’t fault him for that. You typically schedule these games several years out. Coming back from The Return, we really didn’t know how good or bad the team would be. He was looking for winnable games.
At this point so am I.

Stockstill's departure bring us down to six FBS head coaches (out of 133) who have been in their current job since before 2013.

Non upper tier P5 home games aren’t winnable? I fault him for not jumping on one of these a year.
