What's at stake?
Tulane:
- Win and host the CCG vs SMU (with a small chance of rematch vs UTSA) in Yulman
- Win and remain favorite for NY6
- Lose and need SMU to lose vs Navy or be out of CCG
- Lose and become very long shot for NY6

UTSA:
- Win and host the CCG vs SMU or Tulane in Alamo dome
- Lose and need SMU to lose vs Navy and computer rankings to jump USTA over SMU at the same time.

By my count Pratt and Harris have combined for 81 starts over the last 4-5 years.
Go Roadrunners!
(Plus, Go! all the other teams that need to win to somehow sneak UTSA into the NYD6 spot)
It's our 2nd ever meeting. It wasn't long ago that I was in the band and dancing in the Alamodome with Riptide. I'm hoping this meeting is as close as the first. (With much more scoring)

I didn’t know you were in the band. That’s cool. SOSA has grown by leaps and bounds since those early years. Our first meeting with Tulane was in the third year of our program, game #32 to be exact. Defensive struggle with a 10-7 final score. Fast forward a few seasons and this one will be game #158 for us.

Based on your post, I was expecting highlights that fairly depicted a close game. Ha ha.

One of the ugliest games I've seen in person but still close. 03-lmfao
Any other UTSA fans on here making the trip over the New Orleans??? Me and my crew will be there
Kinda surprised that both teams went through conference play unscathed, giving us the “all or nothing” game that was predicted.

Yep! Did several years in the band with my final game being the New Mexico Bowl. That cold was something else.

I don't remember which game I went to that was the coldest. It's between the New Mexico Bowl and our first game in Denton three years earlier in late November. I know for a fact that the temperatures in Denton were around 32 degrees. I heard about their local ice cream and actually ate ice cream during the game in spite of the weather. Had to try some (lol).

Took a gondola up a nearby mountain in New Mexico though during our stay there, and I remember a cool thing about that being that they had a display at the base of the mountain showing the temperature at the base and the temperature at the summit. Don't recall what the temperatures were anymore, but it was a big difference.
UTSA is 24-1 the last three years in conference play.

2021: 7-1, won CCG
2022: 8-0, won CCG
2023: 7-0

Feels like the biggest conference game we’ve had in this stretch. Tulane is a great team.

#BirdsOfAFeatherStickTogether

Props to Aresco & Company for some well thought scheduling, too.

UTSA only hosts CCG if they win and SMU loses or somehow UTSA passes up SMU in whatever rankings are used to determine tiebreaker.
Roadrunners, in case you didn't know. Our DC Shiel Wood was Troy's DC when yall played them in the Cure bowl last year and mustered just 12 points.

The Sandias are beautiful. The band took charter buses to Albuquerque. We were stuck in Clovis for a bit waiting for road crews to clear the ice on the roads. Around -1 F going into NM. The game itself was around 36 F but with a 25-30 MPH crosswind. Not much passing that day.

Troy also struggled to put up points with only 18 on the day. Just an ugly game for both teams. 5 turnovers killed us. I'd be surprised to see that again.

Wasn’t aware of that. As I’ve mentioned previously though, we lost our OC the week prior to the game; poached by Oregon. Troy’s defense basically caught us with our pants down, not to mention a couple of key injuries on offense after our championship game victory. They got us at just the right time.
