Colleague is going to VB for conference. Looking for local seafood, not shipped in on a truck. I know oysters are in season. Dinner recommendations appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
Go to Steinhilber's. They won't regret it. Coastal Grill is a good backup option. Tell them to go to Watermans for at least one crush.

Chicks is a good spot for a more casual/fried vibe.
Second steinhilbers if you dont mind $$$. Bubba's or Dockside also good options off shore dr. Orion's roof has some seafood options and is a REALLY cool setting.
Thank you. Y’all are scholars and gentlemen (or women).
Third Steinhiblers
Steinhiblers if someone is picking up the tab. The fried shrimp, oysters and steak there are like nothing else. AW Shucks in Ghent is always a good one, great oyster selection. Usually several other pick from.

Orion's roof is a favorite of ours. And the view is stunning. But I didn't recommend it since it's not the traditional seafood fare I assumed OP was looking for.
100th Steinhilbers if in VB.

Orion's roof is fun. Get over to Watermans for a crush then uber down (might be too chilly for the walk to 31st). For a more laid back place CP Shuckers. Steinhilbers is more of a fine dining experience but killer food.

Another place that's upscale is Zoes Steak and Seafood. More of a leather chair and smoked bourbon vibe vs Shuckers more traditional seafood/ocean front vibe.

Rudee's and Big Sams are also good.
Seafood huh....I suggest you go to McDonalds and get a Happy Meal!

Big Sam's is my favorite place to eat whenever I'm at the Beach, but I go for the wings, not the seafood.
