The Fenway and Military bowl are tier 1 AAC ties. The AAC champ in the past has gone to a NY6 bowl, but it appears AFA, Liberty or James Madison has the inside track this year.
I’m reckoning FSU gets a playoff, UL to the Orange, UNC/UM Pop-Tart, UNC/UM Sun, Duke Duke’s Mayo, ND Holiday, VT Fenway, BC Pinstripe, NCSU Military, Clemson Taxslayer, GT Reliaquest

Only if I forget to wear My Lucky Red Cardinal logo polo shirt again. We were out and I actually had a Blue shirt on that day Pitt won. Luckily I don’t own a Maroon Shirt, only a hoodie

You mean the Frisco bowl right??
**** me
But seriously I hope we face the Hokies in a bowl. We aren’t facing you all until 2027 @SMU.
potential ACC/AAC bowls where SMU could play an ACC team this year:
Gasparilla Bowl, Dec. 22nd, Tampa, FL
First Responder Bowl, Dec. 26th, Dallas, TX
Military Bowl, Dec. 27th, Annapolis, MD
Fenway Bowl, Dec. 28th, Boston, MA

That's an awful lot of AAC tie ins for a P4 conference.

I doubt the ACC even sends a team to half of these bowls. They are "just in case" tie-ins.
An ACC team could possibly see 13-0 Liberty. C-USA has 2 (shared) bowl tie ins with the ACC and none of their bowls are in any particular pecking order, just based on what matchups wouid be good. Hypothetically, the ACC could be playing a NY6 type of team in the Gasparillo or Fenway bowl. The AAC also has C-USA bowl ties, could be SMU vs Liberty. Either way, it’s kinda exciting.
Right now SMU is starting to become a favorite as the G5 representative in the NY6 bowl, which, I would argue, would quickly make our addition to the ACC look like the right pick.
SMU landing in either the Peach or Fiesta Bowl would be a big step forward for our entry into the ACC.

Definitely a bowl you hope you win the weather lottery...dry, some sun, light winds and above freezing
