Not to get ahead of myself here, but The subject line says it all. Troy was still premature in our 2 pt. loss to JMU, and quite frankly another shot at JMU is all I can think about. Question is and so many are wondering, will JMU get a pass and possibly a shot at the SBC championship if they go undefeated the rest of the season?

You’ll get no argument from any JMU fan, however, sadly it looks like even should JMU finish 12-0 the Dukes won’t get a chance to play for the SBC championship. This transition “rule” makes little sense.
If JMU makes it 12-0 (unlikely) the conference needs to do the right thing

Although, they probably don't want to ruffle any feathers at the NCAA offices.

You and I are very opposite. Another shot at JMU would be nice, but there's plenty of other things to think about, like our big in state match up with South Alabama in five days. JMU beat us and that game was six weeks ago. Credit to the Dukes, they have a hell of a team.

I'm not a fan of changing the rule or giving them a waiver mid season, but I wouldn't be mad about it. They are the best team in the SBC, and a shot at a title would be well deserved.
Additionally, whoever else we throw out there (Georgia State, Georgia Southern or a resurgent Coastal Carolina) will still suffice and probably win.

East is bonkers.
Give the ppl what they want!! Round 2. Winner takes ALL!!

We all want another shot at our 1 score losses. every team feels like it let a game get away that it should have won.

like you say "not to get ahead of ourselves", but how wild would it be for JMU to get a shot and Troy is not the West representative. enjoy your win tonight, think about whats next in front of you. I hear its a big game.

I’m not about changing the rules either, however I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea of playing JMU again either in a SBC championship showdown.
Ya, I want another shot.
GTFOH. If you win the west then you can get beat by whoever wins the east.

Which we know won’t be your team.

Oh I’m not saying you guys will lose. I was saying you’ll get the second best team
Goes without saying that I'd love to see it. Like I said over on our board, I feel like we might hear news any time now. If the wait was to see if we could possibly get the NY6 spot then the CFP has shut that down and the SBC could go ahead and say "JMU will remain ineligible for the CCG unless the NCAA overturns their waiver denial."

If the wait was to see if us playing would keep another SBC team out of the NY6, the odds of someone else getting it are getting very very slim with everyone else having two losses or more. I guess there's no big rush to decide/announce, but it's getting to the point that the circumstances are getting pretty clear.
Ha ha, unless our local law makers go scorched earth you’ll be waiting until next year for your revenge.
The only real issue I have with waiting until the end of the season to declare JMU eligible for a conference championship is that it retroactively changes the importance of all their games in the east.

Prior to conference play starting, every team in the east treated JMU as a cross divisional opponent, meaning a loss to JMU didn't matter as long as they still won their head to head matchups against other east teams.

Reality is, JMU wasn't a "must win" on any East teams schedule prior to conference play beginning.

It sucks that JMU has to sit at home, but unless it was declared pre-season it's a battle you're not likely to win.
