UTEP just intercepted and was tackled inside the 1. Trying for the go-ahead score with 10 minutes left
Oh boy, who else does UTEP play, they could get bowl eligible.

WKU (this should be a loss for UTEP)
MTSU (push)
Liberty (Liberty should win)
Unbelievable, Sammy trying hard to lose again 03-lmfao
SHSU finds a new way to lose every week.
I can't muster the least bit of sympathy for Sammy.

I have to disagree...I just started feeling sorry for the players -who have been so close.

As for Keeler and their fans....they can suffer.
Another tough L for Dr. Keeler
KC going for a perfect 0-12, how many times has this happened in FBS?

More often than going 12-0. 04-cheers

And I still can't stomach the fact we squandered that game @ them a few years ago and they walked away with a title a few weeks later, it makes me sick.
I mean Sammy....

Warning maybe be viewed as lewed/vulger...

I have zero sympathy for Soft Houston. None whatsoever.
Their fans have been some absolute aholes and I can't repeat most of the stuff I've heard from them. And yes, not all of their fans are like that, but they weren't calling them out either.
Keeler... absolutely no sympathy. A guy that plays the blame game every time.
Their fans didn't support them as an FCS when they were winning. They couldn't even sell out their stadium when they were good. Their game last night... There was a shot of the home side of their stadium and that place was an absolute barren wasteland.
They weren't ready to move up and they knew it. Their facilities by FCS standards were subpar. At FBS it's downright insulting.
Sorry, but I don't feel bad for them and never will. I won't bat an eye if that program loses every single game for the rest of their miserable existence. Screw 'em.

Not to mention, because they are in such terrible shape transitioning, the NCAA didn't have the stones to tell us yes and them no so we got grouped in with that pathetic excuse for a transitioning program.

Apparently there's supposed to be a waiver 'process'. The idea of a waiver is that it doesn't apply to everyone. The NCAA is using SH as an excuse to not grant us a waiver.
The two programs couldn't be any more different. We could have moved up in 2013 but chose not to. There was still work to do.
SH on the other hand got offered an olive branch and said to hell with being prepared.
Our results speak for themselves.
Plus, it's a terrible rule. They just recently raised the fee to move up (while I think was due to schools like SH and Kennesaw St). That fee raise (in my opinion) totally solves the issue that they're concerned about in the first place.
If their concern is that other schools would apply for a waiver:
1. They did it last year (and were denied)
2. Liberty was granted a waiver, so it's not like it's impossible to do it. Plus they denied us a waiver, so they have shown that they are capable of saying yes to one institution and no to another. Yes, the conditions are different, and the exact same thing can be said about us and SH... the conditions are different.
3. Get rid of the rule and grant everyone a waiver. And institute a harsh penalty if any schools move down. Make it monetary so the NCAA gets more money out of it. They like money so I've heard. And if you grant the waiver to SH it doesn't really matter. The results on the field will show which programs deserve a bowl and which do not. SH doesn't deserve one and won't be getting one.
we are different than SHSU in so many ways - JSU to a lesser extent - but for both, we are a different case because we played a full FBS schedule in year 1.

it's mind bottling (ron burgandy) that the NCAA won't use that as their excuse to get out of this mess

They won’t because the big boys all bitched about the Wild West that the NCAA has become with waivers being granted for immediate eligibility etc., including UNC who then turned around and cried about not having one of their players approved. The new President supposedly came in with the agenda of limiting loopholes and ruling more broadly instead of on individual merits.
"the NCAA was so pissed at UNLV that they sanctioned Cleveland State"

says it all.
