I admit, he actually seems to have a normally-functioning brain in that conversation. Far from impressive, but still he seems to have basic communication skills. In his public appearances that I’ve seen, that hadn’t been the case since before his stroke about 17 months ago. Glad (yes, really) to see his recovery has been successful.
By the way, it’s almost comforting to see that Colbert hasn’t changed after all these years. Still the eager, slobbering suck-up to every progressive/left politician or activist that sets foot on his stage.
