Looking at tickets remaining available this is going to be a very small crowd tonight. I'm guessing between 10-15k. Fans are tired of paying for bad football and will watch another loss from the comfort of their couch.
I'm picking LT to win this one going away. The only good thing about that from a Miner fan point of view is that it might just be the nail in Dimels coaching coffin.

No! the Miners need to do us a favor and win tonight. We don't want to encourage the powers that be to keep Coach Crummy.
Besides, that aside, I seriously doubt Tech can win this game. We haven't won a road game in 3 years! No sense starting tonight.
I’m not sure who I’m pulling for in this game. On the one hand, UTEPs a rival so I kinda want them to lose. On the other hand I kinda want them to win until we play them. That way when we beat them at their house it hurts even more. I’d rather it be us (NMSU) that shuts down UTEP season.
Ok UTEP you didn’t have to let them score this fast. Calm down homies.
Crowd looked very small and dead before the game. Can't imagine how they feel now. Disastrous start for UTEP as LA. Tech up 14-0 minutes into the game trying to end their road losing streak that dates back to 2020.
I'm sort of pulling for La. Tech because I think Bachmaier was part of the issue whereas I think UTEP really needs a coaching change.

I wasn't in doubt about how many fans there would be in the stands. After almost 4 minutes LT is 14 points ahead. Let the shellacking begin. When the cameras scan the stadium seats it looks like a Goofy cartoon about just the same thing, a bad football team. It is pathetic to watch. The people of El Paso would be hanging from the rafters if the Miners had a good team, we're that hungry for a good football team. I want to cry...but I'm a MAAANNN and I won't.
Bizarre play-calling by UTEP inside LA. Tech's 5 yard line. You have this big unstoppable running back and instead on first and second down run your 2nd or 3rd string frailer looking QB up the middle twice for no gain? Then on 3rd and goal from the 5, you finally decide to run your big RB? Don't get it.
That stomp of the LT player on the defenseless minor player was classless. Hope that dude gets suspended.
I’ve given up trying to figure out UTEPs play calling on offense. It’s like everything is working so good…let’s go to something else.

This first half has been a tough watch other than the Smoke Harris TD return. Neither coach trusts either QB to throw the ball, and probably for good reason. Lots of penalties, fumbles, just no rhythm to the game. Hurley has tools and an arm for UTEP but his accuracy has been poor so far.
And yes, that dirty La. Tech player should have been penalized and kicked out of the game.

What the heck was that. 3rd and a short 1, and instead of sneaking it, while in the sneak formation, UTEP tries to hand it to the fullback with no momentum and he loses a yard. Have not seen a worse team in terms of short yardage playcalling in CUSA than UTEP.
UTEP gets fg--score 17-10, Tech lead.
Tech drives very close--but penalty backs to the 25.
Then penalty on UTEP. Silly.
Auto 1st down at 13.
Another flag--- hold on Tech--moves back to the 20. 1st down.
A sloppy game for sure.
This has been pretty ridiculous to watch.
