Tulane and Fresno, yes?

In order, based on quality/perception of wins:

Fresno State
Wyoming
Tulane
Northern Illinois
SMU
WKU
Liberty

Tulane can rocket up this list with a win next week. It will be a tall order but I do expect the game to be competitive.

I would put Tulane at top since they entered the season ranked.
I’ll wait until week 5 to rank them
MWC has the early lead

Hopefully Pratt is recovered enough to deal with Ole Miss because they are going to pound him. He took a beating last night
Tulane is definitely in the driver's seat right now.

So no love at all for Texas State? I see Fresno State here, while a good win, was a four
point road upset.

Texas State beat Baylor by double digits on the road.
We need Tulane to win next week. We needed UTSA to win at UH. Oh well someone else will need to win above predictions. I hoping Memphis can shake it's RS hangover & win big this year to gain another NY6 bowl
Would love, love, LOVE to see SMU and Tulane both go undefeated and be in the CCG battling for the NY6 bowl. Let the best team win at that point.
It’s Tulane and the AAC then everyone else miles behind. The MW teams might play a few quality opponents at the beginning but then the conference schedule begins and the strength of schedule drops tremendously. If it’s not Tulane, it’ll be another AAC team just based on the quality of the conference top to bottom.
Texas State was one of the best G5 wins so far. Are they that good, or is Baylor way overrated? I don't know, but I think they are a team to watch right now.

Fresno and Wyoming are good wins, but the opponents, although P5, not exactly the elites of their conference. Although Tech fans sure think highly of themselves. Purdue was picked #6 in the East. Tech picked #4 in Big 12 - which is suspect.

Next week is interesting:
SMU @ Oklahoma
Ole Miss @ Tulane
Texas St @ UTSA

Others playing down in competition next week.
Houston Christian @ WKU
New Mexico St @ Liberty
SIU @ NIU
EWU @ Fresno
PSU @ Wyoming

Be very skeptical of Fresno’s win over Purdue, who sucks. And Wyoming’s 2OT win over Tech, who also looks to be overrated.

If the AAC winner finishes with 2 losses or less, NY6 probably stays in the AAC.

Not to be that guy. But beating a dead horse here. Don't sleep on Texas State.

They sure as heck caught us off guard. Don't think they'll win the Sun Belt, but having that P4 scalp is a resume builder.

Once again, it's in Tulane's hands now. But the days of any group of 5 team with 2 wins being the representative is over.

Recent history goes to the programs with P4 scalps. Had App State or Marshall not shot themselves in the foot last year, it could have been either of those last year.

I’ll sleep on Texas State all season long. It’s about strength of schedule. The Sun Belt teams are far inferior to the MW schools who are far inferior to the AAC schools hence why a 2 loss AAC school still gets in over an undefeated Sunbelt school or 1 loss MW school. That’s just how pecking orders work.

I'm not interested in your opinion. Show me polls. Show me TV viewership.

Facts are king.

Fact is Tulane made and won it's NY6 bowl, and destroyed a SBC favorite by 20 points in week 1 2023.

Transitive property doesn't work for et al in the AAC. In 2022, UTSA lost to Troy in its bowl last year. That same Tulane lost to Southern Miss. Marshall took out ranked Notre Dame in 2022. Then crapped the bed against Bowling Green. The gap is not anywhere near as far as your opinion suggests.

We will have another data point this weekend as UTSA play Texas State.

Again, show real data to suggest this gulf.
#24 Tulane
Wyoming
Fresno State
Texas State
SMU
San Diego State
Memphis

Just my take...

Good catch and I definitely should have included them on my list.
Just watched the Texas State vs Baylor highlights and they definitely deserve to be on the list. Their QB looked really good.

Congrats Bobcats!
Tulane
SMU
Fresno
San Diego ST.

Others are flash in the pan…way too early to tell.
