Confirming what we were all kind of thinking: these backers are going to be the most athletic of the Hammock era. All 4 can run and cover.
Byrd has looked great in camp, Hammock stated he was bad last season (my words…but that was the short of it) and he needed the transfers to make him step it up.
Hammock is saying the right things. The coaches seem to have seen what we were seeing last season. Slow trash on defense. Basically a one dimensional offense. They are going to straighten that out this season.
Plus Hammock appears to have lost some weight. Good on him. It’s a long season, hard work, smart to get in better shape. Looking forward to this season.
