If you had the support of the college presidents and were the commissioner what would you do to make CUSA better?
Make sure the TV production is as high of quality as possible. This is all areas of the broadcast.
Make the gameday experience as exciting as possible. Dont play Lee Greenwood going into the 4th qt.
Add more teams. 10 is not enough in this realignment climate. 12 is better. 14 is best.

Rename the conference the Power 10 Conference. P10 for short. Confuse the hades out of all those consumed with being in a Power conference and force ESPN to have to call us a Power conference. 04-cheers

Add Jackson State & Florida A&M as the first HCBU D1 football programs, and help them get the help they need to make that step
I would be proposing to the NCAA
That if your conference wins a game
In the NCAA basketball tourney this year
That your conference should get a minimum of 2 bids next year
Especially in light
Of some conferences getting 6 to 8 teams in

The winner!!04-rock
Collect checks and just agree with whatever a school president says until they realize I'm totally incompetent.
KSU folks are leaving their egos at the door.

I have been surpirsed that all FBS schools don't do this already. I can't remember who had a horrible broadcast but I could of swore it was a old CUSA member. No FBS should have a single camera angle with the radio broadcast as sound for the game.....LOL.

CUSATV was horrible. FIU had the worst ESPN+ production I’ve ever seen, hopefully they buy some new cameras. For the most part, the ESPN+ productions from MTSU, WKU, LT and UTEP have been decent.
*I am not trying to bragg or be arrogant, so please don’t take it that way. CUSA broadcasts and media should be at least as good as Liberty broadcasts. They do an excellent job. All others should be equalnor better.

*Add two more teams from a pool of N.C. A&T, Chattanooga, Missouri St., EKU, Delaware, UMass.

Not just "who would you add" but also, why on earth do you think that?

14 is best???? How? Why? For what?

Honestly, I think following the approach of Yormark, going out & being aggressive, taking interview after interview, & just making sure people know who I am & that CUSA is here for the long-term & will do whatever it takes to not only survive, but thrive, is a big part of this. It wasn't too long ago that the Big 12 was on the ropes, but now they're sitting pretty.

Heck, let's pursue some sponsorships for the conference & play & host sponsored mid-season tournaments within the conference for multiple sports, be willing to take a game like NMSU v UTEP & play it down in Mexico with both English & Spanish broadcasts, or play some baseball games in now-defunct Minor League stadiums to reinvigorate some of these towns that have lost out on revenue (& hopefully gain their support).

1. Raise the exit fee. The biggest reason the MWC has been able to stay together is that their exit fee is a deterrent. Ours would be $25 million for withdrawal in less than 12 months' notice, $15 million between 12 & 24 months, and roughly $6 million for 25+ months. CUSA programs have populated other conferences for years. That ends.

2. Land a media deal with NBC Universal. We'll never land a game on NBC, but the "CUSA on USA Network" branding makes too much sense. Assuming the price is right, we could flex games off ESPN+ onto USA Network.

3. Expand where it makes sense. Ten is not enough. We need 2-4 more members, primarily in the west, to create divisions and cut travel. But we should only truly consider value additions. If points 1 and 2 are a reality, I see no reason why we couldn't take Texas State and or the Louisianas from the Sun Belt.

4. New trophies Every sponsored sport would receive a redesigned trophy. This top prize would be treated like the Stanley Cup. The winner gets engraved and it is passed on to the next winner the following year. (Smaller replicas will be provided for the school trophy case.)

5. Marketing & production standards Members will be required to spend a certain amount of money on marketing of athletics and broadcast production quality. Members will also be required to meet a standard for the in-person game-day experience. We can't expect to be taken seriously if we don't fund and execute initiatives to improve our image. Little things like removing a hyphen aren't going to cut it anymore.

Ask the radio crews about the visiting booth (i.e. popup tent) at FIU stadium.
