Quote:In 2020, Molly Gaston and J.P. Cooney, both top prosecutors on Jack Smith's legal team that decided to indict former President Donald Trump on conspiracy charges Tuesday, previously decided not to seek charges against former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe for allegedly lying under oath about investigations into the Clinton Foundation in 2016.

On X, Journalist Julie Kelly noted that "All of a sudden. Jack Smith's top prosecutors in charge of the J6 case against Trump are very concerned about alleged 'lies' and 'false statements' by a top government official." She added, "Wasn't so long ago they looked the other way."

The summary of findings from Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz determined that McCabe lied three times under oath to FBI and Office of the Inspector General (OIG) agents about authorizing a leak to the Wall Street Journal "to advance his personal interests at the expense of Department leadership."

"[The] OIG found that then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe lacked candor, including under oath, on multiple occasions in connection with describing his role in connection with a disclosure to the WSJ," he said in the report.

In a letter to McCabe's attorney's informing them of their decision on February 14, 2020, Cooney and Gaston wrote, "We write to inform you that, after careful consideration, the Government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client, Andrew G. McCabe, arising from the referral by the Office of the Inspector General to our office of conduct described in OIG's April 13, 2018 report, entitled 'A Report of Allegations Relating to Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.'"

"Based on the totality of the circumstances and all of the information known to the Government at this time, we consider the matter closed," the letter concluded.

When the probe against McCabe was dropped, Donald Trump pointed to a double standard in who the Justice Department decides who to charge, as his associate Roger Stone was convicted of 'lying' the year prior. "So they now convict Roger Stone of lying and want to jail him for many years to come," he said. "Well, what about Crooked Hillary, Comey, Strzok, Page, McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, Shifty Schiff, Ohr & Nellie, Steele & all of the others, including even Mueller himself? Didn’t they lie?"

On Tuesday, Gaston and Cooney alongside Special Counsel Jack Smith indicted former President Trump on charges of alleged conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction, and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted in regards to his role into the January 6, 2021, riot at the capital.

Pretty simple.
They don’t inside their own tent.
The only clean way to fix this is to fire them all. Who in the republican primaries will do this?
I’ll vote for the one who says he will if I believe him.

If I recall correctly, Bubba fired every single one of the 50 States attorneys when he took over in ‘93.

Not many blinked nary an eye. They could reapply, and some did and were rehired, but I don’t recall a single lawsuit or better any IMPEESHEMINTS!!! Over this constitutional act by the executive branch.

Correct ifn’s I’m wrong. However, if we all recall way back in 2017 or whenever, the big baddie Drumpf woulda been impeached and possibly removed for tossing the hapless (and I liked the guy prior) Sessions.

His supposed “crime”? He shook some ROOOSKIES!!!! hand at a cocktail party or something.

All provoked by a fake report, based on fake evidence, and laid bare by a fake investigation. Amazing.

And yet, here we are again. Writ large.

Some y’all’s still buying the taint.

Y’all starting to figure this out yet?

Suckers
Today is the one-year anniversary of the FBI's Gestapo-like raid on the residence of a former president.

Instead of "looking the other way", the politically driven thugs in our justice system baited an idiot president who they knew would take the bait. And then used that as an excuse to conduct the armed, midnight raid. For what? We, the American people, apparently are still not entitled to know. Not even a year later.

The result? A citizenry that no longer has faith in our Justice system.

Some place the blame on the doorstep of the p.o.s. former president who thinks that he's too important to follow basic rules. And there is certainly something to that. But the real fault lies with a Justice Department that exercises its "discretion" in a completely one-sided manner. Andrew McCabe? Hunter Biden? James Comey? Hillary Clinton? And pretty much any other Democrat is free to act impunity. Republicans, or even just everyday non-political Americans? Not so much.

Shame on the corrupt within our system. ODUsmitty's "veiny cocks" curse is too good for them. But shame also on an American population who will look past this corruption, on in some instances even make excuses for it.

Ridiculous whatabout non sequitur. You should get the **** outta here yourself!

But funny...what was clearly lost on you is that if trump had merely returned the **** when first asked...like Biden...there would have been NO prosecution, much less this heinous raid.

Biden had the files since he was a Senator and VP... Wasn't like he gave them back a day later.. Try again loser...

You're out of your depth.
The sooner the country comes to the correct conclusion that this has been a cover up since Trump was sworn into office the better chance we have to fix it. We can argue all we want about law and order but the fact is this cover up has been the largest and most damaging fraud ever hoisted upon the American people. Biden told Porochinko to take care of the evidence before Trump became too sophisticated. We see now the results of that effort almost 7 years later. Everything that has happened since relates to this deep state cover up. Does anybody not understand now why the frothing at the mouth democrats impeached Trump over a phone call? Does anybody not understand why Biden HAD to win in ‘20? Does anybody not understand why they go after Trump in this way, criminalizing political behavior? Does anybody not understand how serious it is for the democrats that Trump not sit in the Oval Office again?

Still today the cover up continues with strategically timed indictments of Trump and crickets from the MSM. Some defend this fraud as applying the law. Shame on you all for failing to defend the country.

Ahhh...yet again the gentle flower is confused. You REALLY need to stop listening to trump. The Senator stuff is the stuff trump keeps lying about. That stuff is located at his chosen University...just like where the files of nearly every former senator end up. Further, these are NOT classified documents, and they DO NOT fall under the PRA or any other federal documents retention act. They are the property of the senator. Full stop.

And yeah...as I've mentioned countless times...Biden was wrong to have the classified documents from his time as VP. Just as Pence was wrong. They both gave them back and Pence, so far, has not been and IMO should not be charged. As for Biden, there is a SC looking at the documents returned and their handling. If it is found that he had the highly classified documents outside a required SCIF then I have no issue with him being charged and prosecuted for that whatsoever.

Totally within my depth here, dude. Sorry, not sorry. Try again.
