It's nice he is nominated but it's for show only to G5. Finn has been in program for a long time so let's see his progress. He will likely pass for 3000 yards in 2023. It's very possible if he stays healthy.

First game is huge and then schedule sets up rather well.

Good depth is a big plus for this team. Toledo needs to capitalize on this roster. Depth will be less next season. Winning brings quality recruits. College football is all about immediacy in this era.

Curious about how well Dan Bolden's knee has healed. I think it was his knee. Basically injured on first D series in 2022. Dallas Gant made a smart move coming home to Toledo. He has a good chance of being drafted or a high visibility UDFA.

I'm surprised that Orr is not 1st on depth chart.

Offensive fire-power????? Not sure. Deep ball is still an issue with DF. This may not be a big play team. Season getting close. For 100th time - season hinges on lines and especially O line.

For me, I’m waiting to see how they handle the AFTERMATH of that game against Illinois. More often than not, we’ve either squandered a nice win or let a loss in a highly anticipated game bring us down. That’s how 9-3 seasons become 7-5.
I still think Tucker Gleason is the better Quarterback.

I respect your opinion. Others think the same. I missed a chunk of the season last year for health issues and never really studied Gleason on replays. Last season was my least focused in 55 years. He will certainly play if Finn is slow out of the gate. I'm not worried about the Illinois game. I think we play well.

I feel both Gleason's running ability and Finn's passing abilities are under appreciated from what we're going to see. Best one-two punch since...?

He may be the better pro prospect. He can run a bit as well. But DQ is an elite athlete and far tougher to gameplan. His escaping and making an off timing play is hell for a DC. Ohio State couldn't get him a couple times. Plus he trusts his men to come down with 5050 balls. Kent State and OSU was all 5050 throws which we came down with.

What do you mean it's for show only to G5? FAU's Harrison Bryant won Best TE in 2019.

Well - it's all a matter of opinion. I doubt DF can jump all the other P5 QB's. Maybe if we score a New Year's day bowl. I'm not hoping against our own players success. Don't get me wrong. There haven't been many Davey O'brien, Butkus, Outlander, Doak Walker. Biletnikoff, Jim Thorpe. Bednarik, etc. winners from G5 in recent memory although I haven't researched the subject either. I would believe there might have been a few.
