Makes sense.

The Big XII holds for a bit on 13.

No need to rush. Arizona, ASU and Utah will be there.

Let's see a desperate and discombobulated Kliavkoff try to close that elusive media rights agreement in shark-infested waters

Every day without a deal pushes the rest of the Four Corners 4 closer to the exit and into the waiting arms of Yappy

It would seem the beginning of the Titanic is at hand. What starts as just a small hole in the conference hull...

As I posted in another thread, the B12 has a media rights contract in hand with ESPN and FOX. The P12 has concepts and frameworks. Looks like Colorado has had enough and desires certainty and security of its future. I'll wager a few more PAC schools do as well.

It seems that ESPN and Fox wants to kill off the PAC 12, and the only P5 conference on the west coast. One of the other four should be killed off first before the PAC 12.

I tend to agree with you.
...Or implode completely.

Yeah, we could see the whole nPAC dissolve.

If you are a decision-maker at virtually any nPAC school other than say Oregon or Stanford, you have to be asking yourself "do I want to be the one without a chair in the M3 when the music stops"?

Maybe that has already been decided and the PAC has been playing a game of chicken?

It would seem Zona is the next most likely to bolt based on their long rumored interest but also on their President has publicly stated in the past that they would consider all options to improve their situation and financial considerations. They have a helluva hoops product to bring along with them to an already top notch hoops league as well. We shall see...
It might have to do with the 2024 timeline as to why they might not make another addition.

Also the XII will want to assess the landscape post addition. Could land bigger fish than the 4Cs (Oregon, Washington, Cal).
- Oregon & Washington - Big Ten
- Utah, Arizona & Arizona State - Big XVI (12)
- Cal & Stanford - ACC (football only, Notre Dame), WCC for all other sports
- Oregon State & Washington State - MWC (Boise State style TV deal)

Let the PAC go. Time for a P4.03-nutkick03-nutkick
Colorado was the Jenga piece that needed to be pulled to force a collapse of the PAC tower.

What we are about to see happen is Big 10 expansion talks gearing back up. UO/UW/Stanford/Cal will be motivated to offer themselves up at rock button prices for the duration of the Big 10’s new contract—probably half shares.

Schools the Big 10 interested in will warm up to the Big 12.

In the end, I think both the Big 10 and Big 12 will feature an “After Dark” time slot. I also think there’s a chance that the Big 10 uses the added content to carve out a Friday Night Exclusive package for streaming, probably with Amazon.

Everybody would have been down for half shares before CU happened. The B1G already had all the leverage it needed.
Pac12 made every bad move possible. They deserve to be raided. They may become A CUSA in all of this.
