That's awesome news for him and the baseball program...developing a track record of getting kids drafted with good guarantees is a way to start building some inroads into established recruiting hotbeds. Not to mention its always great to see local kids make it!
A little note about Jeron and his HS teammate, Kade Kern who played CF at ohio state and was also drafted, by the Braves. After being drafted, that same night the two of them showed up for a 10U baseball game between two local teams and sat in the dugouts during the game. Pretty classy
