Alright, Herd. I'm coming into town with a buddy for our Thursday night match up.

We are two-washed up dudes in our early/mid 30's who want to spend our time eating and drinking.

What's the recommendations?

Kudos for the screenname, I mean, we'll fill ya up with food/drinks, I personally make sure all the fans are finding everything in town they were hoping to find.. Collection of restaurants around the Pullman Square area/downtown (not nearly metro sized)
Everyone will probably have different suggestions, but the easiest thing to do would probably be to stay the the Delta Marriott in Pullman Square. It is a nice area that offers multiple restaurant selections within walking distance. Backyard Pizza, Hall of Fame Cafe, and Roosters are good places to grab a drink and some food.
Huntington Ale House!!!

Skip ROosters 03-puke and go to The Peddler right across the street. The Peddler has burgers and more plus their own craft beer and craft root beer!

Peddler is good and I agree about the Ale House. I could really go for a Cajun chicken Philly right about now.
We should send them to Hillbilly Hotdogs and let them try the Homewrecker LOL

I love their hotdogs!

I like hotdogs with stuff. That would be fun place to try.
If you want to spend a little more money and just relax, LaFontaine's Rooftop Lounge is nice. Calamity J Grill & Bar is a place I always stop at and am never disappointed with.

Stay away from Sharkey's.
Backyard Pizza
The Peddler
MU hall of Fame Cafe
Black Sheep Burritos
The Bistro - all of these are within a block of one another.

Calamity Cafe
Ale House
Jewel City Seafood
The Grill on Third - are all several blocks away or short drive. Closer to Marshalls campus

Great Italian - Rocco's in Ceredo. Excellent. About 10-15 minutes from downtown
Avoid Roosters and Fat Patty's - both are nasty these days. Jmo

Safe travels.

I miss having the one in town, would hop over and get me two egg dogs to tide me over
Thanks for the recommendations. We are staying at Delta, so we will be within walking distance to a lot of this. Hillbilly Hotdogs is definitely on the list already, same with Tudors.

In case we end up not making the trip to Hillbilly, what's the best hotdog spot in town? Stuart's? FroStop?

I mean...depending on the weather, do ya really need to drive? Save the 3.40 gas and walk :) (if you can after a few) do they still have the trolley on game day?

I don’t care about your personal politics, but the answer to that question from locals is going to be 100% political.

FroStop is very liberal and promotes the drag stuff.

Stewart’s doesn’t get political as a restaurant/business but local liberals hate them because their owner was a Republican state rep and he’s now a Republican county commissioner.

Stewart’s used to sell their hotdogs at Marshall sporting events, until the left cried and had them canceled.

1. Hillbilly Hotdogs
2. Austin's Ice Cream Hotdogs
3. Midway Hotdogs
4. Stewarts
5. Frosttop
Hot Dogs in town: Stewart’s

Hot dogs if you’re up for an adventure: Hillbilly Hotdogs’s—get the West Virginia Dog x2 and a soda and you’re good

Best Pepperoni Roll: Big Loafer at the Mall

Best spot for multiple food places: The Market

https://www.themarkethuntington.com/

Get the Houdini milkshake from Austin’s (trix and fruity pebbles)
Most importantly, I think you will find most Marshall fans very polite and inviting. You will have multiple people invite you to tailgate with them.
