Thanks for the correction. I fixed it. The site I posted missed that one too.
Of course, we are playing our equals. Not really a big deal unless we make it to be.

clt agrees, and adds water is wet
Look forward to seeing the final scores of each.
Oklahoma at Tulsa? That's incredibly rare. I don't think it has ever happened. Very surprised.
Which ones are winnable?

AAC
Ole Miss @ Tulane
Cal @ North Texas
Houston @ Rice - I think Bloomgren should've been gone but Holgorsen is even worse

MWC
UCLA @ San Diego State
Washington State @ Colorado State
Vanderbilt @ UNLV
Kansas @ Nevada

FunBelt
Virginia Tech @ Marshall

It seems each year that the AAC teams who host P5 teams are amongst the worst in our league. Its too bad we can never time so that an SMU/UTSA/Memphis was hosting this year a team like Mizzou, someone from the PAC, or North Carolina. Those wins help the narrative so much.

Tulane getting the Ole Miss win is probably the biggest difference-maker this season for the conference (at this point). Ole Miss should contend for top-10 this year.

Oklahoma has a road game at Temple of all places coming up too, negotiated as a 2 for 1. I usually don't like 2 for 1 deals but for Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Ohio St, etc, sometimes worthwhile to get that home game.

We've got

BYU - 2025
West Virginia - 2026
Wake Forest - 2027
NC State - 2028

I still like our schedule this year. App and Marshall are no slouches and should have good turnouts.

This meeting will make it four out of the last ten matchups, since 2001, at Tulsa.

Incoming posters need to think about lifting their game. We have P6 standards for posts here.

Riiiiiiight. I'm sure you knew that little factoid right off the top off your head. You didn't have to look that up at all.

If the American wins at least 50% of those games, and maybe Tulsa and USF at least have close losses if not huge upsets, then our conference (I reserve the right to keep saying "our conference" until July 1st!) is going to look pretty damn good.

Vanderbilt @ UNLV? Sounds like a weird matchup, but okay . . . .

Will anyone be surprised if Marshall and ODU sweep those two games? I love the upsets that the Sun Belt had last season. Glad UCF isn't playing any Sun Belt schools this season, LOL.

ODU is baddddd. Wake is 19-8 the last two years. Wouldn't bet against Wake.

50% wins for AAC would be incredible. That means either Tulane beats Ole Miss or Temple beats Miami. Either one would be huge for the league. Or..... an upset of Bama or Oklahoma by a first year coach 05-stirthepot05-stirthepot05-stirthepot

Even Rice over Houston would be massive for the narrative.
I spoke with our AD about this subject in our hospitality suite at a basketball game and he said we were looking at some P5s for HHs for 2026 and beyond. That is the earliest opening in our OOC schedule. He did mention the possibility of SEC / ACC opponents that would be willing to play us.
THERE IS NO P5! JESUS, MAN.

The American is a P6 conference.

Learn it. Know it. Live it.
We are all FBS.

The Vandy/UnLove game really isn't that weird. Beautiful new stadium and a trip to Vegas. Nice weekend for the NashVegas folks.

I kind of agree. The P5 is fading. I'll change the title and initial post to reflect our current structure. 04-cheers
This is a weird flex considering only 1 of those will be a win.
