2023-24 Men’s Basketball Roster now listed on the UT Website with the following Sizes and Weights for newcomers that you can take with a “grain of salt’!
Grgur Brcic - 6-10, 225lbs.
Bryce Ford – 6-2, 175lbs.
Sam Lewis – 6-5, 180lbs.
Xavier Thomas – 6-5, 225lbs.
Ben Wight – 6-9, 220lbs.
Sonny Wilson – 6-1, 160lbs.

Still 2 spots available if TK and Staff want to add anyone yet for upcoming season or “bank” one or both for the 2024 recruiting class.

When TK signed Brcic, Ford and Wight he said, "We're not done yet." We'll see.
All the new players are listed as freshmen but I do not believe that is correct for Wight.

There are only 2 returning players who did not transfer in: Moss and Simmons. Simmons has not played a single minute since he redshirted yet he is listed as a sophomore. He has 4 years of eligibility left.

There is only one senior listed: Cochran. That is technically correct but he redshirted last year so he has 2 more years of eligibility.

Grgur looks that size, Ford looked taller than TK (who is 6-2 1/2) in a side by side photo, Lewis is at least 6-5, Thomas more like 235, Wilson looks closer to 5-11. Some men add a little height between 18-20 and Ford, Lewis, Thomas and Wilson are all 17 or 18 so one or two of those guys may still add an inch or so.

I'm sure we add at least 1 more player. A couple guys who might be on the radar are Quenton Flood, 6-5 wing who played at a top Chicago juco and is an athletic all around player who had some injuries and is not a high profile recruit but could fit the need for a versatile more experienced swingman although not as dynamic as the guys we were really going hard after at that position. Also Uchenna Kellman, an LIU de-commit, who had Detroit and Duquense offers and is a good fit for our system as a tall guard whose strengths are shooting and passing. Think Elijah Wilson with better court vision.
Interesting recruiting journey for Ben Wight.

Doesn't seem that kind of player but I hope he torches Boals.
I noticed this morning that Stevie Taylor isn't listed with the Coaching staff on the new roster.
No seniors as we all know, 3 juniors, 1 sophomore, and rest Freshman. Certainly a young team if it can be held together.

Adding experienced portal players players will be more critical than ever next season. TK and UT hopefully can have unit playing team ball by start of conference next season and build toward an awesome '25 team.

Still optimistic about '24 despite not landing portal dudes.

Just announced that he is going to Iowa St to become Assistant Director of Player Development.

Iowa St obviously has a larger Men's Bball Budget then Toledo as besides 3 Assistant Coaches, they have a Director of Analytics, 2 Player Development Directors, an Operations Manager, and 2 Graduate Assistants!
