I'm really disappointed that he didn't slip $ perch into that tweet. He's slipping.

Oh, wait, that's Flugaur, not Swaim. Swaim needs to get his own catchphrase, something like "WHAMMY!".

Swaim here, I'm all about having fun, you know, get a couple of cocktails in me. Start a fire in someone's kitchen. Maybe go to Sea World and take my pants off!

If that # is correct, and that is a huge if. The PAC as we know it is toast.
I'll wait for an actual insider to report it. But this number has been floated around for awhile.

If that's correct the PAC isn't on life support, it's on the embalming table.

For the PAC's sake (assuming the number is real) it's just first year after taking out Comcast payoff and SF lease costs and year two is more like $25M ... but even that is fatal to the PAC.
Pac stupidity.

I wouldn't have taken a rocket scientist to look back and see what happened to the Big East when they turned ESPN's original contract down.
I wouldn't stand in the path of the PAC's exit door.

You don't F with the Mouse, as a former Big East program, we learned that the hard way.
Swaim doesn't rate a separate thread.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if that is the number from the time it has taken to get this done.

Idk. They reaaally like each other in the PAC. If anything, they may be hoping XII takes OR St and WSU off their hands.
Let's say this is true (which it may be even though the source is questionable) and that the B10 only takes Oregon and Washington.

I know that would doom the PAC... but who goes to the B12? Obviously the 4C bolt but what are the chances for the other 4 schools?

I would think that Washington State and Oregon State would sell their first borns to get in but what do Cal and Stanford do?

The MWC could really benefit from this it appears. They might be able to stay whole while adding the 4 leftover PAC programs. Even without Cal and Stanford they would have enough clout to probably lure SMU and the other Texas programs away from The American.
Swaim has never been right about anything realignment related going back over a decade.
I would love to see California and Stanford in a conference with Baylor and BYU. The protest for home games in Northern California would be epic.

We're already going to get ISU student government vs BYU, which is gonna be great.
Swaim reporting the Pac-12 tv package is $20 million is bad news for the Big XII. Swaim reporting the Pac-12 is finalizing a tv deal would be the best news possible for the Big XII.

ISU has $31.6m reasons to be pleased as punch with BYU these days. BYU is part of the reason that ISU is in a great spot instead of in the purgatory of WSU/OrST/WF/BC right now. Their student govt will be much more receptive I suspect.
