I think what we may see is a P4 situation and all remaining schools attempt to form that 5th with the best of what remains

...who was the prophet on here that predicted UAB to the ACC? It's really not that far-flung of an idea at this point, IF the ACC even survives... the Semi-holes and company appear to be looking to blow the whole she-bang up... lawyer UP, indeed... 03-phew

I know who it was and, he’s right…ACC has never been as far-flung an idea over the years as would be assumed.
It was me. In the 1990's, we had the late Wake Forest Pres. Thomas K. "Hit Man" Hearn pushing for us; he had been a VP here and very good friend of Gene. Obviously, he did not get his way. Our failure to score AAU status was a major blow; the deadwood on the undergrad side was just too deeply entrenched and even Jean Anne Linney with a flamethrower and hand grenades could not root out the ******** who would rather run travel agencies out of their tenure-protected offices than do their damned jobs.

It's not about what happens on the field. And it's not solely about cash flow. There are many elements in play.

This was, I'll note, well before Ray Watts' bumbling bozosity made it even less likely to succeed.
