Hasnt tax payers already gave you around 35 to 40k for each of your kids? Let me guess you had no complaints every year part of my taxes went to give you 2 to 3k for each of them for 17 years

Meh, maybe, maybe not. My ex step-son allowed himself to be conned into enrolling at ITT Tech. He went for about three weeks and decided he didn't like it. They started dunning him for something like 30k. I called their office and coincidentally the young man who answered recognized my name and asked "Is that you Coach P??" Come to find out he was on an SYS football team I was an assistant coach on when Junior and Mike were running that show at Old Brownsville. I coached him all the way up from the juniors to the seniors. He told me not to worry and that he'd make it go away, which he did.
The point being that there are all kinds of scam schools out there doing the same thing to young unsuspecting dumbasses. They need to be held accountable as well if the govt is going to force them to write off those debts, assuming that's what happens and NOT that the government pays off the loans for these kids.
That debt is NOT being cancelled. It's still being paid by you and me.
Why should poor Black people in inner-city NYC have to pay taxes so that lazy rich White kids from Westchester County can get worthless degrees from overpriced universities without paying for it?

This isn't the BIG case where Joe wants to forgive the world.
This is a smaller case where institutions were essentially committing fraud to get students to take out loans.
