Enhancing dialogue with the private sector on the illicit financing risk associated with digital assets and encouraging the use of emerging technologies to comply with AML/CFT obligations.

This was taken from the Executive Order. I have been listening to some financial experts who are sure this means we will be replacing our money with digital currency.

Anyone have thoughts on this? My first thought is it would be easier to access your wealth and freeze your assets. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid but I have no use for digital anything when it comes to assets which is why I don't play the market. I am more of tangible asset person. Brick and mortar so to speak.
I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending.

There’s a a thread on CBDC’s but yes your concerns are valid, a digital currency will make it their money and not yours. It will be weaponized against dissenting voices and protests and ultimately usher in a social credit score where the people will be cattle.

It’s a go around the First Amendment
I'm pretty sure if this ride would just stop I'd jump off. I'm not having fun anymore.

And being a student of Political Science and History this is how all Democracies end 100% of them into Dictatorships or Oligarchies. As stated by long ago by Churchill a 5 minute conversation with the average voter is the best argument against there ever being a Democratic form of Government.
Reads like trying to find ways to apply BSA/AML to digital currency.

Canadian truckers campaign gave great insight to the perils of having ONE man, and apparently ONE woman up there deciding who can have access to “their own” money.

Nope. Not gon do it.

Next step, albeit a yuge one, to a fully centralized quasi police state. The Rona shutdowns and the fake J-6 fiasco were the first dry runs. Soon it’ll be time to take to the BIG stage.
Unless you're one of the people who got into it really early digital currency is for suckers.
