Utah insider states:

Utah & Stanford Presidents are negotiating with TNT for Tier1 rights
Tier 2 rights will go to a streaming provider

Please note that Brett McMurphy reported Mid Feb that CBS and Turner pulled out of negotiations.

So is TNT back at the table speaking to the Stanford & Utah Presidents?

Question: Without ESPN or OTA distribution, would the Pac get the money and exposure they have indicated they want?
Makes no sense. Presidents aren't going to be doing that.

Why not? $200M from Turner, $200M from Apple for a 50-50 split would be the miracle that Kliavkoff and the PAC have been looking for. PAC on TNT at 3:30 and 7:00 PAcfic, 6:30 and 10:00 Eastern, plus a couple of weeknight (Thanksgiving, Labor Day weekend) or Saturday noon / 3pm games, 30 games for Apple.

Why would Turner do that? I have no idea, but if they want P5 college football, the PAC is their only option and $200M seems like the price for a seat at the table. (Same logic for Apple)

EDIT: I made up the number $200M, please try not to circulate it like I have inside sources or anything

The exposure they WANT? No. But TNT (or TBS) is "linear television", in just as many homes as ESPN, with significant viewership.

If the PAC has a deal on the table from Turner for close to the money they want, I'd advise them to grab it with both hands.

I will point out that our source is a West Virginia Mountaineers youtuber who is citing an unnamed Utah 247 poster who, according to the youtuber, seems to have inside information over time.
I can see a game for TNT and TBS. The channels to my knowledge don't offer much in the way of new content. I know US soccer has a deal with Turner plus HBO max currently
None of this is true. Utah’s President has no direct involvement in PAC’s media negotiations.

Reading that board could give you a lot of decent discussion of the snow pack and skiing conditions this time of year. But that’s the only “insider” info he’s going to find.

I could be wrong, but I think bullet is saying the presidents wouldn't be the ones handling the negotiation directly like the rumor is saying. Which I agree with.

Turner does not own TNT anymore. It is now own by Discovry Inc which they said they were looking at sporting events after stop making scripted shows.

Right. That is what discredits the whole story.
Should see if TBS is interested as well.

Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith could do the play by play.
In case people hadn’t already figured this out, there is nothing on the Utah 247 boards about this.

There's a rumor swirling around Twitter this morning that Kliavkoff pulled off a miracle deal - "$200M from Turner, $200M from Apple for a 50-50 split"! ;-)
