CUSA has a team in the final four.
AAC doesn't have anyone in the final four.
Miami can prevent the bigxii from have a team in the final four.
CUSA has 2 teams in the semi finals of the NIT.
AAC doesn't have anyone left in the NIT.
The bigxii has no-one left in the NIT.
Those 3 teams from CUSA will be in the AAC next season.
The AAC can only hope to perform as well as CUSA did this season.
Go Tigers Go.
Maybe some of you should keep your opinions under your hats.
Go FAU Go North Texas Go UAB Go AAC Go

p.s. IMO when the football tournament gets to 16 teams you will see more of the talking head p5 touts eating their hats. Competition is the American way.

The irony is, despite the level of these performances, the B12, B1G & BE will lead the bids again next season & the AAC will be a 1-2 bid league.

And the p5 touts and all the AAC trolls will once again have no shame. Go San Diego St Go Creighton Go Gonazaga
And Greg Sankey is already hinting at a P5 only March madness. The non P5 are costing the big boys money and they won’t allow that for many more years

If they get their way it will happen. Stop watching p5 anything on TV aside from production values it really isn't any more exciting than d2 games much less G5 games.

It would probably be a P6, because they couldn’t leave out the Big East.

However, that isn’t Sankey’s call. The NCAA head shed gets a majority of their operating funds from the basketball tournament, so any attempt to restrict it by the SEC chief might be frowned upon. Sort of a “Stay in your lane” statement, so to speak….

And even though the Mountain West has 1 Elite 8 in the history of their conference (this year SDSU) they will get 4 in again and the AAC will get 1 or 2.

The NCAA credits are miniscule compared to football money. Now if the P5 gets a media commitment from a media provider that's another thing.

Hey, what can you tell us about the search for the next WBB coach
The ACC is mad they want the NET ranking to count more. FAU would have been a 3 or 4 seed if they had just used the NET. Weren’t they like 12 or 13 most of the year ? The stupid quad system has been a debacle imo. How much difference is there really from 25 to 50? Or even 50 to 100? Look at all the close games we had regardless of the opponent
All of these are good points, and a sure sign the selection committee is about to move the goalposts again for next year.

Of course they always overreact

Last year they had 3 blue bloods in the final four so they didn’t tweak it

Remember when RPI was used? Then the smart coaches figured it out so they changed it. Now it’s something else
I've been laughing at this tournament because the committee pulled such a hose job to try to knock as many non-p5 teams out as possible by having them play each other early. The flip side to that, which we are seeing play out in real-time, is that you also guarantee half of those non-p5 teams getting into the next round.

Some years, it will whittle out the non-p5's due to attrition. But some years, like this year, will see 75% of the final 4 being non-p5.

The committee has one job to do, and this year they were lazy and failed miserably. Plus, they apparently didnt watch many games to see the P5 wreckage they were about to cause with their lazy crooked bracket seeding.

Some times when you game the system, you can really screw things up. No worries, instead of doing their job like they shoudl, they will probably try to find some additional "tweaks" to get the non-p5 eliminated.

And like Merryweather, if she can coach she'll be gone in 2 yrs. If she can't win, she'll be here 5-6 yrs minimum.

Additionally, Charlotte (a CUSA team soon to join the AAC) won the CBI this year.

Are you saying the ACC wants the NET to count more? Article in ESPN yesterday with the commish stating the opposite.

Phillips says he believes the men's basketball selection committee has become too reliant on the NET rankings to evaluate teams, rather than just evaluating teams based on the way they play.

"We're paying too much attention to the NET. I'm just not there on that,"

Maybe I had it backwards. They want the old eye test. I just find it funny that all the great analysts were fawning all over Duke for winning the ACC tourney only to turn around and lose to the worst offense in the tournament a week later
