Was good to see UH Coog It tonight, onward!

For those that saw Sasser go down and celebrated (you know who you are), this one was for you.

Fourth championship in five years. Officially puts us ahead of Cincy for most in league history.

So proud of our basketball program. #1 in the nation and now conference season champs once again. After so many years in the abyss, these smiles are very healing.

Kelvin Sampson has built one helluva program. Extremely happy for the team. Well deserved achievement!

What Coach Sampson has done for our program was unthinkable before he arrived. Truly miraculous. He’s added value far beyond what we pay him.

Congratulations Houston Cougars, you’re just getting started…

That’s a low/mid-major way of viewing it. Respectable leagues always hold the regular season title with greater esteem. Though perhaps this league no longer qualifies as such.

Oh brother. For what’s it’s worth I hope the league is at least able to maintain its status as a multi-bid league. I’m really not a fan of the over concentration of power for certain leagues. Even if our future league benefits from it.

Tbc I’m not saying the conference tourney doesn’t matter. I definitely want my Coogs to cut down the nets in Ft Worth for a third straight year. I just know that when the media would always mention how Kansas had won 14 or so Big 12 championships in a row they weren’t talking about the Big 12 tourney.

I hope UAB, FAU, UNT, Tulane,Temple, and WSU can continue to improve because it's all hands on deck next season.

lol---because if they didn't, the tournament tickets would be harder to sell.

I’d rather be the regular season champ. It reflects that a team was the best in conference over the course of the entire season. In saying that, Houston will be the overwhelming favorite to win the conference tournament as well.

We at UCF don't worry about such things in Basketball. LOL
