VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 21, 2023) – The 2023 CAA Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships are set to take place Wednesday, February 22 and Thursday, February 23 from the Virginia Beach Sports Complex.

It marks the inaugural indoor track and field championships for the CAA, which begin on Wednesday at 9 a.m. with the men’s weight throw and heptathlon 60m dash. Day one will see field event champions crowned in the men’s weight throw, pentathlon (9:10 a.m.), women’s pole vault (11:30 a.m.), men’s long jump (11:30 a.m.), women’s weight throw (12:30 p.m.), women’s long jump (2:30 p.m.) and men’s pole vault (4 p.m.).

Women
The women’s field is composed of 12 teams – Charleston, Delaware, Elon, Hampton, Hofstra, Monmouth, North Carolina A&T, UNCW, Northeastern, Stony Brook, Towson and William & Mary – battling to become the first CAA Indoor Track and Field Champions.

Men
The men’s field is made up of seven teams – Hampton, Hofstra, Monmouth, North Carolina A&T, Northeastern, Stony Brook and William & Mary – looking to stamp their names in the record books.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 23, 2023) – Northeastern men’s track and field program won the team race at the inaugural CAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. The Huskies continue a run of dominance in the league, entering the Indoor record books after winning the past seven men’s titles outdoors.

Northeastern won four events on the final day of competition and accumulated 171 total points to surpass Monmouth in second. The Hawks tallied 155 points for the meet ahead of North Carolina A&T in third with 119.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Feb. 23, 2023) – The Elon women’s track and field program turned out a total team effort to win the inaugural Women’s CAA Indoor Track and Field Championship title. The Phoenix has won back-to-back Outdoor CAA team titles, and now etch its name in the Indoor record books.

Elon scored in all 18 events, with Jette Beerman collecting the team’s lone gold medal in the women’s mile, to total 129.83 points. The Phoenix edged Hampton in second place as the Lady Pirates tallied 121.33 points, while Northeastern finished third in the women’s team standings with 93 points.
