Well Huskies beat Broncos by 14 on the road in Kzoo so this game is a lock. NOT SO FAST! WMU shot 2-22, 9.1% from behind the three point line. That is not going to happen again. Or is it? Huskies need to keep up the defense to make it happen again.
6'7" Markeese Hastings had a career game with 22pts, 19 rebs (YES, NINETEEN), 2 asst, 1 blk and 2 stls. 6'8" center Titus Wright added 16 pts, 4 rebs and 1 asst. And we all know NIU has problems with centers. Also, the Huskies did not shoot the threes well either.
In the MAC, no game is a gimmie. This is a very important game and a win is needed to stop the losses at one.

I’ll be there today. I found another spelling error on my tickets. They spelled this month FERBUARY. Someone in Athletics could really use a course in how to spell the months! This is the third different spelling error in the months.

I hope you are as upset as I am that once again there was someone sitting in my seat! Okay, so it was my wife, but I did not care. I reported her to the usher and had her kicked out. That’ll teach her! When it comes to my seat, I mean business, dammit!!

I hope they counted me as 2 because I took up 2 seats. Speaking of seats, there were a couple around me that were filthy.

Seems just like yesterday the team lost to Illinois Springfield.
Nice crowd as I don’t expect much over 1,000 this year. Team is fun to watch. Is it because they are more athletic? More dunks and more 3 pointers being made this year. Team seems very energized on the court. They seem to be communicating more. Plenty of nice passing in the paint. If this team finished strong, improve next year I can see attendance rising next year. Hoping for strong finish this year and move to good a good year for both basketball and football next year.

I like what I see in Burno. After inheriting the mess from Montgomery and Patton, I'm amazed we are able to do anything. Sure we don't have a winning record yet, but we continue to trend in the right direction.
To Vegas 6 and beyond!
According to Burno, he and the team treated this like an away game. They spent the night away from DeKalb in a hotel (thanks to permission from STF) and did everything they do for an away game, since they have been better on the road than at home. It worked like a charm! I believe that Monty did this once or twice, also.
Attended my first game in a couple of years today. I thought the team looked very well connected and well coached. We got many easy points/dunks off of very well run sets. We just looked well prepared.
Frankly, pleasantly surprised. Now granted WMU isn’t very good, but, it still was very nice to see.
