ISU had previously beaten Tech by 34 at home. Big time upset, dare I say it but Tech might have at-large hopes after all.
Big XII has 60% in NET top-17, 70% in NET top-25, and everyone in NET top-70.

Texas Tech has horrible luck playing in the Big XII this year.

Everyone in the Big 12 has at-large hopes, you just have to win your share of games and/or get hot. If you noticed, Tech had been competitive in most of their Big 12 (they nearly beat Kansas for example) so this isn't all that surprising although Iowa State was the one team to whoop them.

While that’s sort of true their most recent conference loss was a 15 point blow out to WVU at home. At that point they were sitting at 10-10 with zero conference wins and looking as though they might be getting worse. It’s a credit to them that they were able to start scraping together some wins at arguably their lowest point in the season.

Now that said, on the other side of the coin, I think it’s safe to say ISU is a pretender. 2-5 on the road is not the make up of a title team or even a final four squad.
They're in the Big 12, it's hard to win period, let alone on the road. Granted, they got blown out at Missouri, but they've generally been competitive in their losses.
Oh Texas Tech has a chance, but after going 1-8 1st half of the conference season, would need to go like 6-3 at least 2nd half to have any prayer. With only 4 home games left.

Eh zero points for close losses. I'm not saying ISU's a bad team or that they can't win a game or two in the tourney. But you'd be hard pressed to find a national champion that didn't have a winning record away from home. ISU is currently 2-5 on the road and 2-1 on neutral site. They've still got a couple games to try and rectify that but I see more losses coming their way.

Yah its pretty unlikely. But its a testament to how tough the league is that Tech could schedule the 341st ranked non-conference schedule, net zero quality wins off it, lose their first 8 conference games, and still have a path to an at-large bid that doesn't necessitate winning out.

I think they were ranked top 10-at least top 15 at one point this season, but then lost their first 8 conference games.
20 Clemson 54
Boston College 62

FINAL

If Clemson isn't careful, they'll be on the bubble with all of their bad losses this season.
At the half, Alabama is up 43-15 over Vandy. Yuck.
Kentucky 35
Ole Miss 32

17:59 2H

Uhh oh, UK can't afford to drop this one and make the Dance.
Not a game with a ranked team but:

Loyola Chicago 64
Dayton 64

As if they're non-NCAA fate wasn't already sealed. Lose this and they can forget about the NIT.
I take schadenfreude in Alabama's 101-44 win over Vandy. That's quite a beatdown for a P5 (in both directions).
Loyola hits a contested, banking 3 to force OT.
21 Indiana 55
Maryland 66

FINAL
22 San Diego St. 56
Nevada 57

5:11 2H

Edit: Now 61-60 Nevada. Pretty competitive, hotly contested game on CBS Sports Net.
22 San Diego State 66
Nevada 75

Down goes SDSU. Does this move Nevada into the last 4 in category?
