For those who don't know, Bedford's coach is a UT softball grad.
Been seeing a lot of softball & baseball commit postings on twitter, erm, X lately. For the folks that follow those things, here's the ones I marked down for SB - all '24s I think. DetroitRocket posted some of these upthread.

Samantha Boldin, East Hancock, IN
SS Payton Pudlowski, Bedford, MI
OF/SS Audrey Miller, OH, Marlington, OH
P/2B Reese Poston, Lancaster, OH

I saw about three innings of the first game last Sunday against Saginaw Valley State U. These fall games don't count against a team's record and are like scrimmages in basketball.

UT was up 4-0 when I left in the 5th inning and UT hadn't given up a hit. I'm pretty sure freshman Maddy Yackee was on the mound-didn't have a roster. Eli Enriquez (I believe), a JC transfer in the infield, made an incredible catch on a foul ball that was the most impressive play I saw.

Saginaw Valley won 37 games last season and defeated the #1 team at the DII nationals.
Another '25 commit from Bedford HS catcher Aubrey Hensley. Already holds the Bedford single season and career home run record after only her sophomore year.

That is a giant commit. She could probably go to any school she wanted. Doesn't hurt that her coach is a UT softball grad. We'll see.
I had the pleasure to umpire a high school showcase tournament over the weekend here in Dayton, Oh for players who have accepted an offer from a college or were being looked at by college softball scouts. Some of the seniors, had a decal on their helmet what school they were going to. One was going to IUPUI, Ball Sate, SFC (whoever they are). Others on the field who I had talk to in between pitches, 3 were going to Kent State, one to Miami (Oxford), Dayton, BGSU, IUFW, and Michigan (no one mentioned UT). Of the juniors 5 or 6 of them, not one was being look at by UT. In fact when one of the seniors I talk to going to BGSU, said she did not like the UT's coach when she was on a visit at the school. This was a very good tourney with a lot of scouts in attendance. Select Teams were from NE Ohio, (a hot bed for talent), SW Ohio, the Columbus area, and central Indiana. Interesting comment by 2 ladies who received offers from OSU, turned them down because they didn't like their coach. I have heard that before in the past from other ladies who had turned down OSU after an offer was extended.

Warrants another thread in my view. Good luck to the ladies. No idea how anyone hits in that game
