Released on their own recognizance…and we thought it was bad now…incredible

Good luck you guys.

The insanity continues. “Escape from Memphis” next?

Sad
Its time for the state to step in.
Seems I got out just in time.
Those old unintended consequences...
beautiful culture.
I don't know how the Juvenile Court system is tied into the Shelby County DA, or if it's even tied together at all, but this just happened...

Some of us escaped to the suburbs and surrounding counties years ago. I will never live inside the city limits again. Try my best to stay out of it as much as I can. And believe me, I’ve been locked and loaded for years.
It's very simple, more criminals on the street equates to more crime.

I don't know if it's an uptick, but I've noticed more and more news reports of crimes in MS -- primarily Southaven -- where the perps were caught fleeing into Memphis.

Of course, it makes me think they're driving from Memphis across the state line into Southaven, committing their crimes, then running back to Memphis.

People moving to different areas will give them a cushion of safety around them, but that will only last so long. As the population grows they scum move into the surrounding areas and commit their crimes there.

We're going to have to do something to change this.

The long-term solution is to shut down welfare payments to single mothers and to force schools to actually teach pertinent information and thinking skills.

The short(er)-term solution is to stiffen penalties and change sentencing laws to put criminals away for a looooong time. In some cases mandatory execution might need to be put in place.

I saw a Matt Walsh video last night about the gay married couple in Atlanta that adopted 2 young boys, sexually abused them and pimped them out to the local LGBT crowd.

They are facing 9 life sentences.

Walsh said what they did was so horrific that the courts decided that just 1 life sentence wasn't harsh enough. But how does 9 life sentences punish them more?

Public execution should be the harsher punishment.

I'm not saying those car thief kids should be executed, but they shouldn't be let out of prison after 2 days.
Memphis just pulled ahead of Detroit. This is gonna be "fun".
Yup. Dumbest thing ever. No cash bail laws turn places into war zones. It’s basically a catch and release law for violent criminals.

Detroit Cash Bail Reforms to Strike at Racial Inequality

You know, maybe "Cash Bail Reform" should be about eliminating cash bail in an attempt to achieve equity, but to have a table of bail percentages based on income.

"Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy said the county’s new bail system will bring equity and equality to the justice system."

Like I said in another thread, if all leftists just dropped dead we would have a fighting chance to survive.

the flaw in that portion of the "if" equation?!! ain' gonna happen, chief!
There is a position within the Shelby County government called “County Attorney”, and the incumbent is a woman named Marlinee Iverson.

If anyone knows: is the County Attorney an elected or appointed position? Does that office have any power to help alleviate a problem like no-cash bail, or are they just a bystander?

Juvenile Court has been releasing people for years unless its a major crime like Murder. I have to also imagine that its under the umbrella of the DA.
