College of Charleston is ranked #23 on the latest AP Poll, making them the first CAA team ranked in the AP Poll since Navy in 1987. Congrats, Cougars!

Congrats! I wonder if CofC can put together an at-large resume if they are upset in the CAA tourney.

The reason they ARE ranked 23rd is based on their OOC resume wins...

If they dominate the league into the tourney, they'll have a great shot at an at-large.
Yeah.. Kelsey is doing a great job. Home run coaching hire.
We all knew Kelsey wouldnt be here long. If he is, great for the league. Congrats to Charleston for sure. They will be at large worthy as long as they avoid the bad loss. Will be hard to do because there are so many opportunities. Right now UNCW and Hofstra would be the only non-devastating losses to them. But they absolutely need to keep racking up wins.

So Charleston goes undefeated in the CAA. I don't see that happening.
Yep. Silly to even think about. I think since the league went to 18 games, I think the best was 2 losses. I know back in the late 80's with Navy they had seasons with 1 conference loss, but they only played 14 games. Unsure what the ECAC had before the CAA name
Not only that, but I cannot fathom Elon going winless in D1 play the entire season. They're bad for sure, but they're not that bad.

There are enough bad teams at the bottom of the conference that each team will win something. But I agree they aren't that 0-31 (or whatever it was) Towson squad.
With New Mexico's loss at Fresno State last night, Charleston is tied for the fewest losses. Considering how few sports channels there were when Navy was ranked, I am guessing tonight's Charleston at North Carolina A&T game on CBS Sports Network will be the first CAA game ever to have a team be ranked and tied for the fewest losses in Division I. Considering North Carolina A&T was in the MEAC and Big South, I am guessing that it is their first conference game against a ranked team, and first game hosting a ranked team.
Spread keeps growing on this one. A&T is really good at home. Wont be an easy one, but should be a good game to showcase this conference.

To me this is a scary game. This will be a dog fight in my opinion.
I made https://www.youtube.com/shorts/OlfjlizV4TE titled "College of Charleston is Ranked in NCAA Men's Basketball."
A&T won most of the game, but the final 6 minute stretch in the first half was a clinic by Charleston (24-6) that totally put the game away. Nice win for the Cougars. Hopefully the league is smart enough to work with CBSSN and get the Charleston/UNCW game on there to showcase the leagues best.

The atmosphere should be out of this world as well. Already a rivalry, but hopefully first place, unbeaten streaks and king of the Carolinas on the line....04-cheers
Winner will be in the driver's seat for the Auto NIT bid, which for us especially is incredibly valuable to have

Hard to be king of the Carolina's since Charleston lone loss is to ya know UNC 04-cheers

Teasing, but it should be a dandy, especially as long as neither team slips up before then
Charleston passed Duke in the AP Poll for the best team in the Carolinas. Charleston moved up 1 to Number 22, and entered the Coaches Poll at Number 24.
Not for long. 03-wink
