Setting up for when the big ten and sec break off into LLCs separate from the rest of us.
Nothing like having 7 FBS teams in a state with 5M people. I know we love our footbaw here but at what point are we oversaturated? Did the math for these off the top of my head:
GA - 5
TN - 4
LA - 5
MS - 3
VA - 5
KY - 4

It’s been over saturated. Makes no sense to add more FBS teams, but here we are. The dumber thing is of all the teams listed, how many are we in a conference with?

This stuff has happened multiple times over the decades. too many come up and the big boys will reset. They always do.

Seven in the state, but it’s 5 in the northern half of the state. There are only 2 college football programs south of Montgomery. There are 4 just in the metro Birmingham area.

There will be a reset coming soon. Expect to see movement from the Big 10 and 12 very soon.
A school has to sponsor 16 sports to be FBS, UNA currently has 14. Have they said which sports they will be adding???

Since they already satisfy the men's sports (6) and women's sports (8) minimums, I suspect they will add women's indoor and outdoor track and field which counts as 2 sports.
