The Troy team you saw today has improved each week and has found an offense.
We played a fairly weak schedule, but 5 measly points away from 12-0. There were some close wins too though, so there's room for improvement. Hopefully we can get that first bowl win and keep it going next year. Congrats to Troy on the win today and good luck in your bowl game.

Well to be fair we all bought into the preseason hype for the East. Also to be fair top to bottom there is a lot more parity in the East than the West.

That top to bottom thing may change next year. USM gonna be good next year plus South and Troy… ULM I could see having a good year and of course Louisiana who was no push over this year.

Agreed the West is no joke. Even ULM beat Georgia State and lost to Coastal by 7 with McCall. The Cajuns will be back and I agree South and Troy will again be really strong. I think USM will soar next year. They are huge and I expect big things from them next year.
I'm surprised anyone could have any level of confidence with any game involving a Sun Belt East team and the top 4 teams of the West.
If we're being real here JMU is the one team in the league that's legitimately good on both sides of the ball. They're the only Sun Belt team in the top 3 of both total offense and total defense.

Troy was forged by the fire that is the SBC East and then fortunately had to play in the West. Troy and USA may be the best two teams, but the West surely had the worst 3 as well.
