Was watching the D1 Michigan State Football Championship last night and DeJuan Rogers, former Rocket great, was the interim Head Coach for Belleville. Belleville won the game. They are back to back State Champions. The previous Head Coach was suspended. Would be nice to develop a pipeline. They have a ton of talent.
You're jumping on my three year old bandwagon with this one. The football in SW Detroit is a good as most regions in Ohio, at least as far as individual skills. Belleville is no secret though. Mich St recruited away the coach before the one that paid the price because they knew what talent was being put together. I believe the coaching staff migrated down from MLK? Or some other Detroit Public. Another place to watch football, Grand Rapids seems to have Akron level talent. 6 area teams made the semi-finals.
