Vermont lost to Iona 71-50, lost to Yale 73-44, lost to Southern Cal 59-57, lost to Cal State Fullerton 94-85 and lost to St. Mary's 79-53, Their two wins are against Ball St. and Brown.

Against Ball St. they won 78-73. They shot 53% from the field, 9-22 from three, and 13-18 from the FT line. Scored 30 points in the paint and had 15 TO's. They had 34 rebounds to Ball St. 30 rebounds.

Leading scorers against Ball St.

Kam Gibson(6'3" 190 Sr) 33 min, 6-9 FG, 3-6 from three, 4-5 FT, 19 pts.
Dylan Penn(6'3" 190 Sr) 28 min, 6-14 FG, 1-2 from three, 2 assists, 14 pts.
Aaron Deloney(6'0" 165 Sr.) 26 min, 6-14 FG, 2-7 3pt, 6-7 FT, 7 rebs, 20 pts
Matt Vereto(6'8", 220 Grad) 11 min, 4-6 FG, 4 reb, 9 pts.

Heavy dose of 5th year seniors and a grad student leading the way. Two guys averaging 12 ppg and nobody else in double figures. We should be able to hurt them with our overall length and pressure and we should be able to control the boards.
Have to think there will be another change to the starting five. Really like the combo of Shy and JT at guard, but Ross will likely come off the bench since he hasn't really shown he is playing well as a starter.

Here's what I hope to see against Vermont

Start

JT, Shy, Farrar, White, Kelly

Newby, MHH, Ross, Enoh and Van DH are all great off the bench.
Newby back in the starting lineup.
Thomas, Ross, Newby, White and Kelly to start. Phillips coming off the bench.
They had it wrong. Phillips, Thomas, Ross, White and Kelly to start.
Phillips scores first, gets the steal and draws a foul. Nice start
Wow, no box score or stats available for this game.

So far I can help you out with shooting percentages: Vermont 0%. UNCW pretty close to zero....
Hawks jacking up quick shots from three for no reason. Ross with an airball and White and Thomas with the misses. We need to drive. DUH.

Pitiful shooting to start again, but our defense still looks great.

Ross' shot was open. No reason that should have been an airball.

But yes, we need to attack the rim in all other instances.
Vermont with 4 TO's already buy Hawks' are 107 from the field. White finally drives and draws the foul for 2 FT's.
So does UNCW

One thing for sure, we have a DEEP bench. Eric VanDH, Farrar, Harvey, Newby and MHH all in. Five non starters at the same time.
2-5 from 3 is not bad. That long one from VDH was a thing of beauty.

Harvey is simply not a driver though. That layup attempt was rough. Need some subs in at this media.
Our offense at the start of games is just brutal. 3-12 from the field and 2-5 from three. No reason we should be taking more than 25% of our shots from three. DRIVE!

Yeah, I have no idea what Harvey was thinking. We have enough three point shooters and drivers that our guys can stick to their strengths. He needs to be the guy spotting up for the outlet pass.
Vermont is outshooting us for the game at the moment. Which isn't saying much...
