Jacksonville State finishes 9-2 this season. 5-0 in their conference.

They won by 23 points or more in six of their games!

Sure- that is a much weaker schedule than 2023--but still very good.

Rich Rodriguez has the Gamecocks ready to step into C-USA and be

competitive right away. IMO they will finish 4-4 or better in their first year.
They get an UNOFFICIAL ASUN title at 5-0. Again-- unofficial since they were not eligible-- but the second place teams all finished at 3-2.

That would make their 25th conference football title. Pretty impressive tradition.

Congrats to JSU!

Now let's see what they can do in FBS.
Those Ohio Valley merchants thrive on weak schedules, always have and always will! Unfortunately, it’ll no longer include getting second rounded by some 7-4 Missouri Valley or Southland team. At least we got a taste of it when they were beat down by Southeastern Louisiana, the only good team on their schedule.

Have you ever made a positive contribution to this board?

The Missouri Valley, Southern, and Big Sky regularly say the exact same thing about you guys.
We do have a ways to go be fully ready for FBS but have several roster spots available.

We were 2-1 against the Southland in the second round if my memory is correct. The last one we beat some team named Sam Houston 62-10. 0-1 against MVC.

“Southern” lol yeah, I bet fans of two bid leagues like the SoCon really harp on Southland and OVC schools!

You know nothing. This ain’t ‘06.

The point was that y’all have no semblance of division one success. And it stands.

Yes? I’m a staunch Jabari Jones defender. And he runs this board, so you better watch out.

I recall an absolute ass kicked dealt out by an OVC Gamecock.

I recall an absolute ass kickin dealt out by an OVC Gamecock. What was the final. I think your ass is still sore.
I was sitting on that side of the field and remember vividly the look of defeat on a particularly whinny ass coach knowing he was exiting the playoffs real quick. It was almost as sweet as sending UTC and their crying QB home again.

I'm excited about Jacksonville State. I think football is rolling and their basketball should be decent as well.

We just went 5-4 with some questionable losses and close wins, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Yet when we were in the Ohio Valley Conference and played you guys in the playoffs it was over by the end of the 1st quarter….

I don’t remember that. The only playoff game against JSU that I recall was a 37-26 playoff WIN over you OVC gliders.

It’s no wonder JSU fans are so irrationally excited to join CUSA. If I knew my team had peaked in the FCS and would never amount to anything again, I’d be okay with going too.
KSU is are 3-1 vs JSU and the one win was in OT

One of the main reason Im glad KSU is coming to CUSA. That crap needs to be straighten out.

There were definitely reasons why we left the OVC though and yeah the conference was basically a want to be basketball conference that was worse than a lot of non basketball conferences
