While they are moving up from DII, I thought USI would be a great add to our new league. However, I also thought they would be an "easy" win for the first year or two as they transition. So much for that. They routed Southern Illinois by 18 points, and only lost at Missouri by 6 and at Notre Dame by 12. Looks like they will be a factor in the tournament (which is in the hometown of Evansville, but not in their arena) this season, and will certainly be a threat to win it in the next 2 or 3 years. Of course, this would be interesting since they won't be eligible to go to the NCAA tournament for, I believe, 5 years.
