This. All of these elections except for N.H were under 5 points so can you imagine if……?

Yeah, this was one of the factors I tried to indicate "bad candidates" wasnt really the reason we lost (one need only look at the Fetterman election to see something else was clearly at work). One reason the mid terms was not the land slide we hoped was because we actually gained something like 14 seats in the 2020 election where the Republican presidential candidate lost---that never happens---so it means much of the easy low hanging fruit was already taken in that election. Poor candidates may have been a factor here and there---but for the most part the lack of success in many of the close races was money spent and the lack of any Republican ballot harvesting game. The rules have changed and if Republicans continue to only count on a one day turnout to offset an entire month of Democrat ballot harvesting---they will rarely win close elections. Thats just a fact---especially if we are only going to spend half to 1/20th of what our opponent spends in the campaign.

Shame on the Republicans generally. Just 'cause they were Trump selections doesn't make their races less important. But shame also on Donald Trump, who could have sprung some money from his own substantial war chest. What a stingy hypocrite.

How much were spent with the PACs? I'd be much more interested with that. I know Trump at one point told people to give money to his PAC instead of candidates or the RNC.

I don't know, but in Georgia the Democratic PACs massively outspent the Republican PACs. We were flooded with Warnock (and Abrams) ads. Almost crowded out all other ads. (ie anti-Walker and anti-Kemp ads)

I am admittedly very much a novice when it comes to this particular part of elections. I know this will sound dumb but:


When you/they/them say dems "outspent" reps. What does that exactly mean? TV ads? Canvassing? Buying votes? What else? Not the concept of spending money obviously, but spending on what?

This is where something doesn't sit right with me I guess. I hear all of these ridiculous commercials and all they do is bash each other without actually telling you what they would actually do. Is it just making a name the most familiar from memory? If that is all it is, people are just dumb sheep.

Want to know who was secretlt funneling $$$'s to the Democrats?? Try none other than Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, who hates the Tea Party & MAGA!!!!!!!!!

He also supported well known House RINO Liz Cheney. Need I say more???

Comparted to Fetterman he was Reagan circa 1979. Fetterman has brain damage and it is obvious to anyone.

I would say watch yesterday's Ingrahan Angle on this, but you’re a Dem , so I could care a less about what you think. Mitch McConnell was throwing his own teammates under the bus on election day. If you want that red Dem McConnell, Mr. XcentriK, you can have him!!! And take Liz Cheney , that other red Dem with him!!!! I don't claim either, and I treat both as Dems!!!

Apparently he was good enough that it required a long time well known Pennsylvania congressman to spend almost 50% more than the Republicans spent---about 52 million dollars--to beat a novice first time candidate by a whole 4 points in a swing state. Even the money spent---Oz probably wins against Veggie Lurch.

GOP candidates have a couple of things in common, Trump endorsed, but bigger Stated they would not support Mitch for Majority leader.

That would be Crudité Lurch, to Dr. Oz. He was a terrible candidate who Fetterman successfully defined early on as a carpetbagger from New Jersey. If David McCormick had been your nominee instead of Trump pulling Dr. Oz over the finish line, you'd likely have defeated Senator-elect Fetterman handily. Thanks Trump!

Exactly!!! And I have held this opinion as well for a very long time. If McConnell wants to flip blue, now is the time to do it because no Republican outside Kentucky supports him now and I doubt that the Kentucky GOP wants him either.
