Let students in before the game starts....no more taking an hour to get into the game

Umm, they do let students in before the game starts same as everyone else. But when they have 7,000 students show up 10 minutes before kickoff, it gets backed up. They need to do a free give away for the first 2,000 students or so to encourage them to show up earlier.

A lot of them were there early for the MTSU game. I have to imagine Homecoming could be even better. This is a HUGE game with a name that most know.
I know I will be getting in earlier than usual just to make sure I don't miss anything.

has this been a problem this year? I didn't think we've had entry concerns for years now.

Huh, this has always been the case.....the gates open to all 60-90 minutes before kick. Students can come on down and avoid any lines whenever they want.

entry is fine....the only problem occurs for folks that choose to show up at 320 for a 330 kick.

This isn't even a problem from where I enter towards the garage side.
I've been impressed with the main gate out front of Plecker not having any lines at the games I've made it in to right at kickoff.

Yeah STH gate has been good, but walking up at the Texas St. game the student line was almost backed up to the Godwin Natatorium side entrance about 5 mins before gametime.

I saw that...they also haven't announced TV designation yet so this could be a candidate to get picked up on ESPNU or maybe even ESPN2 if the Dukes take of business in Statesboro. Marshall beating UL on Wednesday would also help the cause.

FWIW, Verizon FIOS in Richmond at 3:30pm Saturday shows ABC carrying Ok. St. vs TCU, Arkansas vs BYU on ESPN, and Maryland vs. Indiana on ESPN2. They have some random show on ESPNU at 3:30 then Tulane vs. South Florida at 4pm EST.

I subscribed to ESPN+ specifically to get these games. Personally, I'm happy we're in one spot rather than changing networks every week because "exposure." We're ranked - let them come to us.
