Just curious. How do other fans feel about Wiseman now that the fiasco is over? Are some still labeling him a quitter or was he just the beneficiary of a very unfair situation?
Wish him all the best ... As always.
How can you blame the guy? He’s suspended for multiple games and would miss most of the season. He was a “for sure” top round pick. I think he made the right decision. And he had probably had it with the NCAA anyway.
The kid did nothing wrong
I still do NOT think he made the right decision, and I think it's hampered his pro career. I think he's probably a fine young man. I'm fine with him being recognized if he's in the crowd for a game. But he only played 3 games so, meh.

He got injured what if he had got injured here and was never drafted ?

I agree. From what we know that was between his mother and Penny. Wiseman's just trying to play basketball.
Quitter.

The same risk and concern that every for sure one and done player has taken on since the rule changed... And it would have had to have been an injury that completely ended his sports career to stop him from being drafted which is extremely rare.

Sorry I’m not going to bash a 19 year old that got bad advice. Wtf did you do when you were 19?
He was once a Tiger.

Easy for you to say. He’s risking millions, more than most people will ever see. He would have missed 12 games. It’s a no brainer. And, as it happened, the tournament was lost to Covid. He truly was a “wiseman”. Pun intended.

So was Jelan Kendrick for about the same amount of time?

Again, water under the bridge. I never blamed him for the NCAA fiasco. I did blame him for quitting. But some kids do quit. Life goes on. If he wants to claim the Un of M in his intro bio, I'm cool with that.
He got screwed. He just wanted to hoop.

My concern with wiseman right now is that I hate the Warriors and Grizz will see them multiple times every season.

This right here^^^
The same thing I felt about him before - he looks like a skinny, fragile tall dude that needs some meat on his bones if he is going to play pro ball with a lot of success.

I appreciate his commitment to the school, and I hate it didn't work out because of the over-reaching ncaa and their draconian treatment of schools that aren't blue bloods.

Now he needs to get healthy and play more of the season than he has the last two seasons!
Meh

More games he'd of played, more games taken away.

Penalty probably would've been more severe as well as the optics and discussions throughout that year either been fiasco level.

The season ended with no tourney anyways (pandemic) so having him and Precious ball out together for the season only to have the tourney a no go would've been brutal.

NO they are talking about him coming back AFTER the 11 game suspension that was dolled out by the NCAA. That would have been viewed as compliance. The first 3 games he played were viewed as non-compliant.

And your sig is too big.
