We have had some pretty decent teams the the last 5-6 years so I think the respect ranking is exact . I think we will be decent on D , goaltending is who knows but scoring goals could be a problem .

Yeah, we definitely need some freshmen to step up as goal scorers.

We’re actually #12 in the USA Today USA hockey ranking. This is the poll posted on most of the USA hockey social media sites. In that poll were one place ahead of St Cloud. The nCHC usual suspects have 3 in the top 5.

2. North Dakota

With the usual suspects above us and also below us.

Given our personnel losses, probably about where we should be ranked in the league.

I hate to be blunt, but WTF cares. Last year they probably picked us 5th or so. They always pick us middle-of-the-pack to last. It's all North Dakota alumni, isn't it? Joke polls.

We would need to be stacked to get the privillege of a #4 preseason pick from them.

Certainly hope to prove them wrong again this season, but this is a very reasonable place for us to be preseason.
