1) possession of concealed weapon
And 2) altering Id marks on the firearm
That's not good.
Who is he?

The next LeBron James.
Dear MAC Fans,
It's easy to criticize, especially since he has had a checkered past. However, let's wait to see if the charges stick before throwing stones. One never knows what the future holds.

No one is throwing anything I simple stated a fact and did not add any comments.
Dear cmufanatic,
If, you read my comment correctly, I said; "before throwing stones", so, I was not accusing anyone yet.
What's the back story, that a 5 Star recruit ends up at EMU? May be stranger that the gun story.

The next Gilbert Arenas.
Dear MAC members,
Some new information that has surfaced. Emoni was released from jail, the report is that he borrowed the car from a friend, and he did not know there was a gun in the car.
I know this can lead to all kind of speculation, but that is all we have at this time.
This all occurred with him running a stop sign.

He grew up in Ypsi. His family still lives here. Far as I have heard he is a good kid—no high school fights, no suspensions, no prior arrests.
Hmmm, looks and sounds terrible, but let’s wait to see more of the facts. I don’t think anyone should be defending him too strongly yet, or labeling him a felon. Sounds like he may have been in the wrong car at the wrong time.

Exactly right. He's a good kid.

A Judge might say you are an adult you should have known.
Most the young guys I talk to have glocks.
What we know: the arrest information and charges.

Everything else I’ve seen is simply his lawyer’s spin.

It will play out in the legal system. Swaying the opinions of sports board posters is kind of irrelevant.
Don't need a license to conceal carry here in Texas. There are 21 other states that have no such requirement.

Altering the ID will get you though.
Maybe his life would be better now if he stayed at Lincoln HS and then going to MSU as he committed early on instead of a "prep school" his dad created and then to Memphis with Penny Hardaway?

Can’t live your life in the rear view mirror with the would’ve, could’ve, should’ve…hopefully his story is true and if so hoping he sees this as an opportunity for personal growth and he goes on to have a long and fruitful career. Others before him have messed up and got through to be productive members of sports and society.
