Naturally The Ohio State fans are butthurt about this.
James Madison is sneaking under the radar BIG TIME.

I watched both of their games... and they are an extremely well-oiled machine. Not to mention they have players across their roster that are built like Alabama players.
TBH, I worry about Marshall playing there this year. I feel like people wasn't giving them the respect they deserved because they were "moving up". Yeah right, how did that work out for Middle TN.

JMU, is legit. Love having them in the SBC.

You don’t actually believe this.
Nice, love that publicity and love seeing there's only one conference with two teams on that graphic. We've got some other stats where we're up there as well:

We're also #1 in red zone defense, #9 in scoring defense, and #13 in rushing offense.
Really appreciating the JMU love, but we have yet to prove anything.
I'm not sure I agree that we are sneaking under the radar. We just took care of business. We beat an MTSU team we were favored to beat and clobbered an FCS team.
So far, we are just living up to expectations. Nothing more. Nothing less. Most of the JMU fans that have followed this program expected to be 2-0.
Our true test will start against App State next weekend. Honestly, I think we will compete, but I do not expect us to win this year.
I believe JMU will challenge for the top of the Sun Belt and hopefully for championships, but I don't think we are there yet.
Kansas is actually #1 on scoring offense, but that's still great.

EDIT - I guess they aren't counting Kansas' OT points.

I think this is a fair and sober assessment. We're better than the doubters, but exactly how good will be determined against the conference schedule and Louisville.

All we've done so far is toast marshmallows.

I will say we are NOT an FCS team moving up; we're an FCS team that has had FBS talent at many positions for years, which is moving up.

I'm reserving any real smack talk, other than poking fun at our old rival ODU, until after a few key games on the schedule!

P.S. ODU, the City of Norfolk has asked that you remove the team bus from the cinderblocks on which it sits in front of the crack house. They tried to call you, but your number has been disconnected. Thanks.

Well there’s certainly no ordinance against that sort of thing in Harrisonburg. Half the town would be homeless

We WON the battle of alphebetizing!! NICE

2 games...no way this matters yet...but nice to see the right JMU logo being used. I'm sure the team won't let this go to their heads
I said it before. JMU will come in and compete from day one. They will play for an East Div. Title THIS year. I think they are way under the radar and will be right there at the end (this year). They have the resources and want to to be at the top of the league for years to come. JMU was a HUGE get for the Sun Belt.
JMU has looked good, but has not proven anything yet....

Let's see in Boone

Fun Fact; JMU leads the Sun Belt in lot lizards.

With previous coaching staffs I would probably be concerned that the publicity may be getting to their heads. Not Cignetti, though. Plus they would be pretty foolish to be overconfident going into App State.
They should be confident as they are a good team, but we will find out how good they really are soon.
If we somehow beat App State, I would like to apologize ahead of time as our fan base will be insufferable.
Yeah doesn't mean that much at this point but still really neat to see. Being #1 after two weeks is better than not being #1 after two weeks! We played one cupcake then one that shouldn't have been a cupcake. They may be a terrible G5 or they may be a middle of the road G5... But plenty of others have played just as weak or weaker in their first two weeks. Hell, Michigan has played Hawaii and Colorado State. They're both terrible and JMU(and several other SBC teams) would blow them out just as badly as Michigan did.

Haha the "Roll Dukes" crowd will be absolutely embarrassing if we win that game.

The title on this graphic is misleading since Kansas has scored 55 and 56 in their two games. Last I checked, 111 was more than 107. So they have to be excluding defensive scores or something, which is a weird way to measure points per game since those do actually count as points.

They're excluding OT, as they should.

Edit: nope I'm wrong, they should exclude OT though. Must be scoring offense as you were assuming.

That math doesn't check out. Kansas scored 13 in OT against WVU. To get to that average for KU, you have to exclude only 6 points.
