When scoring 35+ points since 1901. Their one loss...

The Sun Belt's recently forgotten son, Georgia Southern.

Thought that deserved a thread.
last weekend was awesome....and nearly impossible to replicate

I hope ODU can keep us in the news with a win over UVa next weekend...

JMU over Louisville in a few weeks...

I am missing games for sure
3rd most yards allowed in Memorial stadium ever. One more drive and we could've done it. Finally some offensive diarrhea compared to the turds we've laid on the belt in recent times.

That's interesting - I got my source here: https://www.klkntv.com/live-updates-nebr...-southern/

Maybe this is in regards to Nebraska defense as a whole and not just the stadium..
Two things:

1. I think we did well enough that we can put the "offensive transition" argument to bed. Nebraska's not a great P5 D, but we clearly have play makers at the skill positions as I said preseason.

2. I would be careful about making conclusions about this game. It's possible Frost and that staff had mailed it in. I think back to 2017 when South Alabama came to Statesboro favored by 10 and we got our first win 52-0 and Joey Jones was fired that day.

Those can both be true at once. If we can score like that on UAB then we can put the Sun Belt East defenses on notice.
Eagles are definitely savoring this victory but can't get too confident with the way the other East teams are playing. Nebraska is probably our 5th or 6th most difficult game on the schedule.

1. vs App State
2. vs Marshall
3. @ Louisiana
4. @ Coastal Carolina
5. @ Nebraska
6. @ Georgia State
7. vs James Madison
8. @ Old Dominion
9. @ UAB
10. vs South Alabama
11. vs Ball State
12. vs Morgan State
I'm absolutely still humble. Their defense is historically awful and the program as a whole is in the trash at the moment. Far too easy to cloud the truth.
Yeah, I'm not at the point that "We've arrived". I believe we still have a ways to go in this rebuild.

This thread is the perfect example of what makes the Sun Belt different. The OP will be on the receiving end of a gigantic poop sandwich if this continues yet it's so cool he had to share. I'm sure we'll have the opportunity to happily return the favor sadly. No other conference enjoys this kind of atmosphere.
i'm watching this game now....and am blown away by the eagles here... totally confident, playing smart, moving the ball amazingly

don't care that it's a down year for big red N.... SBC East games will be a dog-fight
That's an amazing stat.

I know Southern fans are staying pretty humble, but I'm just happy to see they're going to be fighting for the division just as hard as everyone else.
Conference play is going to be exciting
GATA BAYBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you're talking about their record at home. They've lost 9 times when scoring 35+ overall (away or on neutral turf), including 5 times in the last decade. Still a remarkable stat.
