Reports of Ukrainian Army advancing on a number of fronts in addition to Russian soldiers abandoning their positions. I mean the ukrainians are playing this really smart. They've extended Russian supply lines by moving the major battles south.... while preparing the ground by destroying munitions and Logistics before this offensive. Also NOW it appears ukrainians have captured a Russian general.

Russian morale has been reported as low throughout the war and now there appears to be significant Russian desertions in face of Ukrainian counter attacks.

This is Ukraine's big chance to change the narrative and seize the initiative from Putin in this war. Western weapon systems seem to be having a major impact and the well-telegraphed moves in the south towards Kherson led to Russian reinforcements in that area, leaving weak spots around Kharkiv in the north that Ukraine also seems be taking advantage of. I've read they have a window to change the frontlines until about November, when winter will pause large operations, and set things up to hopefully push the Russians further back come spring.

I also find the recent strikes in Russian-occupied Crimea especially gratifying, well played President Zelensky!

If this guy is who they think he is he is the highest ranking general to be captured since World War II. He is in command of half the Russian forces in Ukraine.

The Russians did not learn anything from Afghanistan. The invading force always has the biggest challenge unless it has OVERWHELMING military superiority and can simple bulldoze everything in its path. Russia will lose this war eventually due to this. Unfortunately the Ukraine will be left in shambles.
Ukraine is not only going to win, they’re going to retake crimea barring a massive shift in momentum.

What a huge embarrassment for a failing state.

Looks that way. Crazy how the Russians have continued to buy into the state propaganda and support Putin in this foolish military endeavor. At some point...just like Afghanistan the mothers of the dead soldiers will rise up in protest as the body bags continue to come home. That old "blood and treasure" axiom will eventually doom this for Putin.07-coffee3
Ukraine is going to win. Look how well they’re doing! All it’s going to take to finish off Russia is—— more money. Keep sending money. Whatever we do, never stop sending money.
Only time will tell.

At least some on the Russian far right have been very critical of their country's performance in the war, and it is interesting that they have been allowed to continue speaking out -

Unless Putin decides to nuke something...

I really don't believe any of the news coming out of there. It is all propaganda from every side. Whatever the ultimate outcome, I won't be surprised.

It was the Ben Stiller visit for me.
Russian TV acknowledges substantial victory by ukrainians.

Apparently this was a blitzkrieg like advance and now not only are the ukrainians within striking range of a main rail supply line from Moscow..... 20,000 Russian troops are in danger of being encircled.

Yeah, that may well be the translation. Appetite for sending money is dropping. Time for a new narrative offensive. Ghost of Crimea would be too obvious though.
Ukraine is getting its arse kicked

I don’t necessarily doubt it, but how can you tell? Because they’re asking for money?

Either way, I won’t care. Just stop sending our money over there
