Takeout's:

Blackman is the real deal-ESPN QB Rating https://www.espn.com/college-football/qbr

The portal is blurring the difference between G5s most P5s.

A-States speed and athleticism on defense is impressive, and their offense has a chance to be very balanced and very good.

Grambling is not as bad as A-State made them look.

Posted this on Hogville so thought I would share here.
Of course what stands out about this team is their talent.

They have had arguably the best overall rosters in the SBC for the better part of a decade and while they are still crunching the numbers -because most of the players missing their ratings are a part of the top class in the SBC, this years roster might be the best in the SBC again.

IMO they are the most talented team in the SBC, based on the players that play, just the youngest too.

What is new is what Butch Jones is doing with that talent.

Unlike many, maybe most games under their previous head coach, they were not the most undisciplined, least prepared, most fundamentally unsound team on the field last weekend. Butch Jones had to pretty much clean house , but that team Saturday was pretty much all HIS players, and he got what he said he was going to get and that was "relentless effort", regardless of who you are playing or what the score is.
